Sorry to hear the passing of another gashead this afternoon; Ryan Clarke's father Ernie Clarke.
Ernie took Ryan to Rovers when he was a kid a was very proud father of what his son has acheived in tbe game.
Thoughts are with Ryan and rest of the family.
R.I.P Ernie and God bless.

RIP Ernie x I remember him fondly as a local DJ with his Disco. He was a really great bloke and Ryan has done him proud with his career. UTG

Played skittles with him. True patchway legend. The social club will miss him.

Terribly sad news.. I knew Ernie well and I watched Ryan progress through the ranks at Stoke Lane. I know how incredibly proud he was when Ryan was picked to play for Rovers. I still remember that smile vividly, one of a very proud man and father. Deep condolences to Ryan and the family.. RIP mate..

Ryan's Grandmother used to sweep the terraces at Eastville and Ernie maintained the floodlights. Ryan of course became a Rovers keeper and Ernie's favourite quote was "From sweeper to keeper in three generations."
Ernie, you will be sadly missed and my heart goes out to you and your family who you have supported as well as any man could. RIP
