Wish the Rovers website would get rid of the last result form the home page along with the league position. Ha ha - I hardly every go on there, but that was the first thing that caught my eye when I had a look this afternoon. Not exactly something to be proud of is it!

Serious point: Do we pay for someone to produce this site for us? If so, here's a novel idea to save money. Kick the bloody thing into touch and set up our own. I bet there are plenty of professional website designers in our fan base who could do a better job and probably for less. I'm sick of the general commercial plugs, the amateur reporting, the poor English and general failure to produce anything of any interest. The only reason to go on there at all is for general ticket, fixture list and match info and that's not much use in the summer. The one thing that used to drag people in, even in the summer, was the forum. Not now

Agreed Buckaroo. I have used the.OS less than a handful of times. It's shoddy at best. And very very messy. It's a poor advert for the club.
Actually, on reflection maybe its a perfect advert for the club.

We should have a pinned fixture/results thread actually.
anyway, I don't know about anyone else but I feel like it is being done almost deliberately? At a time we are all waiting for some news of changes and the so called review, all they can offer us is charity bike rides and car boot sales.
Get the feeling that they are starving social media now. They don't want people talking anymore.

They are plugging social media now and saying to follow the club on twitter, facebook and YouTube. The whole point of these sort of things though are to inspire debate. Can you have meaningful debate when every time you post you are restricted to 140 characters? The club are so desperate to 'control' social media that they are actually losing any control they once had.

Can you have meaningful debate when every time you post you are restricted to 140 characters? The club are so desperate to 'control' social media that they are actually losing any control they once had. Therein lies the fundamental faux pas. In an effort to control the social media they actually force it away from official channels and the internet then becomes a breeding ground for alternative platforms to spring up such has happened with gaschat (.co.uk - available in a cyberspace ether near you). The real issue I feel is this. The whole premise behind the debate about the club control of social media is that they are NOT interested in listening to new ideas. As you say, it must be on their terms. This is the biggest mistake they have made. They should be embracing ideas from fans rather than seeking to silence them. What other so called business can claim readily available committee like opinions from thousands of customers, on tap, for free, willfully given? The whole notion rests on the crystal clear ethos that they only want to engage with fans to pacify rather than listen and accept new ideas. They are incapable of self review, they despise criticism of any form, be it constructive or otherwise. It is a crying shame.

You cant control people once you cut them free.
I agree with Ras, a Fixture List and Results on the Front Page would be a great idea.
