Roos 6 no dramas, safe hands and a couple of decent saves.
Roberts 5 looked a little off pace and lightweight against quite a physical side. Lockyer 6 battled well never really looked troubled. Hartley 7 MOTM strong, reliable and our best player in a poor performance. Brown 6 decent, improved with the introduction of Montano and a 4-4-2.
O. Clarke 5 in and out of the game no real moments of quality. Sinclair 5 ran his heart out but lacked quality going forward. Boateng 3 slow and sloppy in possession for most periods.
Easter 3 his worst game in a rovers shirt. Harrison 5 tried but against a decent no6 he came second best. Taylor 4 pretty quiet no moments of quality.
Subs: Moore 3 headless chicken lacked the balls to really take it to them. Montano 5 got around his man but did not pick out a teammate. James 4 not on long.
Crowd 5 early start not rewarded by a good performance. Ref 3 let Crawley push the boundaries of physicality. Crawley 7 credit it to them. They now play football unlike last time under Mark Yates. They defended well for long periods and always looked a threat on the counter.

Roos 5 - ok but did not inspire confidence
Roberts 4- too many errors first half improved in the second half Lockyer 5- not up to usual standard Hartley 5- relatively steady but too many long balls Brown 6 - steady performance and good goal
O. Clarke 5- steady but not nothing special Sinclair 4.5 - not as effective as usual Boateng 5- very involved in the game but a large number of mistakes
Easter 4 - very ineffective Harrison 3 - spent a lot of time falling over and was very ineffective Taylor 5- not up to his usual performance
Subs: Moore 4.5 - had a lot of the ball but crossing poor Montano 5 - looked lively but poor crossing James 4 - not involved much
Crowd 5 - too spread out to create an atmosphere Ref 6 Crawley 6

Roos 6.5 - Looked confident and steady. Pushed one shot out into the danger area which could have been punished
Roberts 4.5- Average, out muscled in defence and offered little threat going forward Lockyer 5- Not his best game but did little wrong Hartley 7- Had his hands full with the experienced James Collins but did a good job. Brown 7 - Good solid game and improved (as always) when Monty came on.
O. Clarke 6.5- Involved and had a decent but not a great game Sinclair 7 - I thought he played well, tackle after tackle, always available for a pass and rarely wasted the ball. Moans around me because he keeps his passes simple, but he retains possession. Boateng 4.5- Just didn't look interested. He has obvious class, which he has shown, but yesterday he might as well stayed at home
Easter 4.5 - Cannot remember much he did. Harrison 5 - Was marked by Mark Connolly, a very physical centre back, who had him in his pocket. Achieved little. Taylor 6.5 - His game has improved in leaps, though he didn't score his vision and passing were a class above anyone else.
Subs: Moore 5 - Came on hugged the touchline and received lots of the ball. From a crap start, he did improve and got his crosses in but we had no one to trouble their centre backs Montano 6.5 - Monty to me has a bit of class and deserves a run in the side. Did cause them problems, again we had little threat in front of goal especially when Taylor was substituted James 4 - Did not pose any sort of threat
Crowd 5 - Never got going. Though it was not a great game Ref 6 Thought he did ok. But did let Crawley get away with a lot of physicality Crawley 6. Look an average league two side. Have two decent centre backs and a good centre forward but little else

My view;
Roos - 6, not a bad day today
Roberts - 5 no where near as good as Leads has been recently Lockyer - 7 I thought he did well as normal Hartley - 7.5 solid, becoming my first on the team sheet, MOM Brown - 7.2 not his best day but a great goal & other good moments
O. Clarke - 5 didn't do anything really wrong, but didn't add much Sinclair - 6.5, not up to his usual though he ran & ran as ever Boateng - 5 which is more than I would have given him half time, some really poor spells Easter - 4 looked great in the warm up, but just didn't add anything in 90 mins Harrison - 5 my best improved this season, but not a good day for him I'm afraid Taylor - 6.5 one of those where he did lots away from scoring, got back defending etc, but not his best
Subs: Moore - 5 Montano - 6 James - 5? Not on long enough really
Maybe that virus impacted other members of the team, certainly not 100% on it I'm afraid
DC - 7 Ref - 6 Crowd - 5 early kick off we weren't awake enough Crawley - 6

Apologies all for the long delay, but I've now had time and can reveal the results:
Peter Hartley was Man of the Match with a score of 6.9.
Along with Taylor's same score from the opening day of this season, this is the lowest rating for a MotM since the Wycombe away game in February. (Lockyer was MotM with 6.8 that day). That game was 33 league and cup games ago.
The starting XI average was 5.54.
Crawley's score of 6.2 was significantly better than both of the times we played them last season. They scored 3.5 away and 3.9 at the Mem last season. This actually gave them the lowest combined rating of any team we played last season. (York scored 3.4 and 4.3)
Roos 6.1
Roberts 5.1 Lockyer 6.0 Hartley 6.9 Brown 6.6
O. Clarke 5.5 Sinclair 5.9 Boateng 4.7
Easter 4.2 Harrison 4.5 Taylor 5.4
Subs: Moore 4.5 Montano 5.9 James 4.2
Crowd 5.2 Ref 5.4 Crawley 6.2
