I'd take £6 million and a loan back until the end of the season. That way we can bring back Lambert to partner him up top and score us the goals to win the league.

Rosenior must be smoking that crack pipe again.
We don't even know his contract length or if he has a minimum fee release clause. Either way 10 million is way OTT.

Past it is very harsh. Not the player he once was but you don't lose the sort of footballing brain Lambert has and that's really what separates him from some of the other strikers we've had over the years. The man thinks like a top level footballer which is why he got as far in the game as he did. Has 2 in 8 for Cardiff in the Championship and I think he could convert that to a 1 in 3 ratio for us in League One, not to mention the chances he'd create for MT. Would welcome RL back with open arms myself.

Rosenior and the Bristol Post are quite a good match really, both clueless and spout drivel.

It's understandable the crazy sums floating around the top level may filter down somewhat but suggesting he's worth £10m is ridiculous.

Would welcome RL back with open arms myself. At 34 I would much rather we tried find another non league striker. The wages wouldn't be justifiable and he's scored 5 in his last 53 games. I love Lambert as much as any Rovers fan, but I would be disappointed if we brought him back.

I think £10m is fair, why should we get ripped off just because we're a league 1 team? Players were going for silly money in the Championship, so far MT has scored over 20 in each league (and only 6 away from doing the same in this league!).

I think that if we're top 6 at Christmas then a gamble on Lambert would be well worth it. I'd also like to see us continue to make the best of the non-League scene though. It's all massively hypothetical though, as I can't imagine we'll get more than £2 million for Taylor.

A lot of "only has a year left, 1.5 tops in Jan"
He may only have a year left but if we're still where we are now come Jan I would hope the club would rather lose him on a free and try get promotion than sell him for the sake of 1.5M. Clubs struggling in the championship will also be panicking and if we held our nerve they would probably cave in before we do and offer us something silly.

Rosenior must be smoking that crack pipe again. We don't even know his contract length or if he has a minimum fee release clause. Either way 10 million is way OTT. Not so sure - in the current inflated world of transfer fees he probably is worth nearer that to a championship side than we would dare believe - consistent proven goal scorer over 3 seasons of progression - look at Kodjia bought from a 3rd division French side ? Goes after one season to another championship side for 11m possibly rising to 15M - on that basis well Taylor going for 7M possibly rising to 10M doesn't seem that absurb to me

I really can't understand why a championship side didn't gamble on him.

That's a huge difference from Taylor's record in the Conference/League Two. He lacks the attributes to go for anything more than £2m in my opinion.

Because MTs heart wasn't really into a move and clubs realised this was his agent speaking and they were really wasting their time investing in any hopes of progressing a deal?
