I saw that Gary Neville on Twitter has got students at Salford Uni to film all of their games and provide sport's science support. Really think this is something we should be doing in partnership with UWE. It really can't be that hard to get an agreement in place, we have a decent relationship with the University and some of the students, I'd imagine, would be more than welcome to the idea of getting involved with the club.
I tweeted the club about it, with no reply as you'd imagine, but a former player seemed to agree with me as Matt Harrold favourited my tweet. I wouldn't expect to hear back from the via Twitter anyway, just thought whoever runs it might have been able to pass on the idea.

Absolutely. I said a while ago that the UWE media department would put us to shame. The interviews are very amateur, especially being filmed in the bar and usually almost impossible to hear. It would be great to make links like that in the community. Now we are producing our own highlights, I am positive there would be loads of sport journalism students at UWE who would love to film/commentate our matches. That would be brilliant experience for them and would possibly save us money,

I always find those clubhouse bar interviews amateur to say the least. Occasionally there seems to be some sort of vaguely sporting multicoloured backdrop (possibly the training ground?), but rarely. Would it be difficult to arrange a desk with a backdrop like the one the manager stands in front of for post match interviews (I assume it's in the tunnel area) the one with club badges and advertising) the sort of thing you see on match of the day?

Rubbish isn't it? Clubs like Altrincham strive to look as professional as possible with the best they can get yet we stick players in a battered old social club. May as well stick a Stella and a bag of dry roasted in front of them.
