Rovers last 4 games have seen 3 terrible results/performances in the league and 1 ok performance against a poor Crawley side in the cup. It has definitely been the poorest run of games I have seen us in these past 2 years. Ironically, it is exactly 2 years ago since a 2-1 home victory against Barnet which propelled our season in the conference and what was the start of the run of success which has led to getting to us where we are now.
So 2 years on we face a trip to Chesterfield with what I see as massive game. Results would have hit team morale hard lately and it for this reason that in my opinion the game vs Chesterfield is massive, they a lowly team near the bottom and travelling gasheads will be expecting to get some sort of result up there.
I think we can go there and get a 2-0 win, I believe in this squad of players we have and manager, it is certainly not a squad of "conference players" like a certain poster on here said. I do think we will need to strengthen slightly in January but only slightly. Many players had bad performances against Charlton but they reminded me that league one is probably a bit stronger than I thought it is.
Anyway I'm going to go for a 2-0 win and a kickstart to our season in our battle for the playoffs.

Well done GGMI, I think that's one of the rare times anyone has admitted that this league is stronger than the last one! So many posters have said we should be doing better as this league is not very strong. I think it is and the teams are a good step up from last season. I have been banging on about this league being fairly strong and a mid table place is very satisfactory. Tomorrow I hope we win and think we can but a draw after their good win against a side we couldn't beat will be OK. UTG!

I expect to win but no so confident on the clean sheet
That said the keeper and defence will not want to ship goals to the club rooted to the bottom
I hope DC goes with a sensible midfield and turn the burners on at the hour mark, that seemed to be the way we win games prior to Black November
I'm heading up there and expecting a big reaction from the squad 👍

Suspect they might be a different prospect after their win at MK on Tuesday. I'll go 2-1 to the home side.
