Clarke 5.5 not match fit Lockyer 6 a better game Hartley 6.5 like Lockyer but also scored a goal Brown 6.5 steady game Boateng 8 the player I thought we'd signed turned up today Sinclair 6 battled hard as usual O. Clarke 6.5 did the bits and pieces well and scored a good goal Colkett 5.5 flitted in and out Taylor 7 scored one,should have had another Gaffney 8.5 MoM another great display from Gaff,marked down half a point as a bad miss early on Subs: James 6 unlucky not to have scored with a cheeky chip that the hapless keeper caught Leadbitter 6 did ok Mansell N.O.L.E. good to see him come on,he can still do a job Crowd 7 a good turn out considering the awful weather and our poor form Ref 6.5 one of the better one's this season Bury 4 Defence was worse than Crawley's they looked like a side thats lost the last ten. (and playing like that they could lose the next ten!) |

Puddy 5 not much to do but still managed to fumble the ball once J. Clarke 6 defended ok didn't really get forward much Lockyer 5 beaten in the air a lot and a poor header leading up to their first goal Hartley 6 scored and defended ok Brown 6 overlapping did well but still not defending at his best Boateng 7.5 good strong midfield display my Motm Sinclair 6 couple of good defensive tackles and worked hard O. Clarke 5 scored but pretty average Colkett 5 good pass for Gaffers miss but not involved enough Taylor 5 not at his best,gifted his goal Gaffney 7 led the line well,just wish he would stay more central at times,gifted his goal aswell Subs: James 6 put himself about,maybe should have got the lob over the keeper Leadbitter 6 well involved at both ends whilst he was on Mansell nole but good to see him back Crowd 7 Ref 5 fussy Bury 4 passed it about and some pace,but the poorest keeper i have seen for a long time and not much better centrebacks |

Team low on confidence scrapes past a team lower on confidence. Taylor, Gaffney and James all contrived to waste chances when clean through...would have liked to see what Billy bob would have made of them. Hard working midfield but their porous lineup was crying out for being sliced apart by our best CM who unfortunately was wearing a suit today. Not our finest but slide arrested and maybe it'll kick start a decent run.

Taylor 4.5 Not at his best, one on one chance could have done better, Christmas present for his goal but was there to stick it away
Gaffney 8 MoM with his all action display should have had a hat trick today A very good one on one chance early in the game went begging, did not effect his confidence

Puddy - 7 Only for the great save he made to stop them making it 3-3 which the referee inexplicably gave a goal kick for. Positoning for that was good and got down quick. Other than that not much chance with either goal and distribution was fine. Best available at the moment but certainly not the long term answer.
Clarke - 6 reasonably solid, if unspectacular. Personally would look at giving him a chance at centre back as we've got major issues there.
Lockyer - 5 Average again, and another mistake which led to their 1st goal. Badly lacking in form, surprising as I thought he would be one of the players to make the step up easily.
Hartley - 4 Poor, again. Barely looks league 2 standard. Positioning is all the shop. Would much rather have a centre back that can defend than one who can't but is a threat in the opposition box. Tempted to put McCrystal back in ( if fit) until January when we'll no doubt strengthen.
Brown - 6.5. Solid. Got forward well in the second half albeit without much end product. Made a couple of crucial tackles in our box in the 2nd half. Still room for improvement.
Boating - 7. Grew into the game. Did a bit more of the dirty work which has been lacking in his game recently. Worth another opportunity before January.
Sinclair - 6 Booked for a bad challenge which limited him for the rest of the game.
Clarke - 6.5. Took his goal well. Doesn't look out of place at this level without pulling up any trees. May find opportunities limited come January though.
Colkett - 5.5 Has the ability to create something from nothing, but needs to improve the rest of his game. Passenger at times. A lot of potential.
Gaffney - 8 Ran his socks off as usual and won everything in the air. Needs more support as would frequently hold the ball up and have to nobody to pass to. Made up for his miss with a goal and unlucky not to get a 2nd. MOTM
Taylor - 5.5 Disappointing. Looks halfway out the door already at times. Tried to walk the ball into the net 1st half and gave up possession on more than one occasion where he is trying to do too much instead of playing the pass. Would have been marked lower if not for his goal.

Puddy 5 mixed game good kicking in tricky conditions. Great save at 3-2. No reaction for 1st goal needs to be more commanding.
J. Clarke 5 stuck to his task no moments of real quality.
Lockyer 4 still bang out of confidence and form.
Hartley 5 dangerous in both boxes his defending was average for their second goal.
Brown 6 good cross for 1st goal much better performance.
Boateng 7 A great game in possession of the ball however needs to improve defensively when not in possession. Assisted 3rd goal.
Sinclair 6 typical Sincs performance booking hampered him in tackling in tough conditions.
O. Clarke 7 great goal and workmanlike performance.
Colkett 6 in and out of the game, great set piece delivery's. Good cross assist for 2nd goal
Taylor 5 cant score 1 on 1 but scored at least. Used to be an absolute menace and nuisance for defenders. Seems to have lost some mojo atm.
Gaffney 8 MOTM goal and assist fantastic all round game.
Subs: James 4
Leadbitter 4
Mansell 4
Crowd 6
Ref 8
Bury 2 very poor perfect opponents after recent performances.

Puddy - 5 Good kick, his height really worries me when we give away corners. Don't think Roos would of done any better/worse.
J. Clarke - 6 Played ok didn't have too much to do.
Lockyer - 5 played better than he had recently, but still not back to his normal self.
Hartley - 5 same as above at least he's able to put the ball in the back of the net which we didn't have with Parkes/Mccrystal.
Brown - 6 Consistent performance as usual good crosses into the box.
Boateng - 6 Played pretty well when he had the ball, needs to work on his defending. Great corner for a third choice set piece taker. (Lines and Colkett being 1 & 2 for DC normally)
Sinclair - 4 didn't see much of him all game besides his yellow card tackle doesn't seem to stay in formation.
O. Clarke - 7 Good game played well and filled Lines shoes. Great goal.
Colkett - 6 Pretty good performance tried a few things that didn't pay off, but doesn't hurt to do that when your winning. Did well on the set pieces.
Taylor - 6 Not a bad game should of put away the first chance, but at least he kept going and eventually put away a goal even if it was scruffy.
Gaffney - 7 Very hard worker seems to be everywhere on the pitch. Again should of put away the first chance, but eventually got there. Still seems to be playing wide, get in the box please!
Subs: James - 5 would like to seem him start with Taylor or Gaffney, don't think he's been given a proper chance yet.
Leadbitter - 6 sured up the right hand side.
Mansell - 6 Made the midfield tight in the last couple of minutes something I think we lack in the regular starters (Lines does it, but needs a 2nd person to create calmness).
Crowd - 6 always love it when we give stick to the opposition keeper
Ref - 8 One of the best this season, very fair and made all the correct decisions.
Bury - 4 Defence is as shakey as ours has been recently thankfully their strikers weren't very good at finding the back of the net.
