I see Eric our groundsman is off for 10 weeks receiving treatment for an illness. I see Steve Drew is replacing him during this time. Does anybody know if this is the same Steve Drew who was groundsman at the Sh!t pit a few years ago?

So we have a City season ticket holder responsible for our pitch then..... I'd hazard a guess it doesn't pay THAT well. Hence I doubt he's likely to do anything that would jeopardise his career...

Was only just saying Boxing Day to the old man that the pitch looked like it had got worse. Considering no rugby it didn't look in its best shape and seemed to had deteriorated quite a bit in a short time! Coincidence?

It sounds like the club are fortunate to get somebody in with such an impressive CV to look after the pitch on a short term basis. The digs about him being the 82ers ex groundsmen/deliberately wrecking the pitch seem uncalled for, as we could be in the sh1t ourselves without him helping out for the next 10 weeks!

One upon a time I was able to grow some real good grass, it smelt like cheese, good stuff too. Maybe I could lend them my services.

The pitch was cut up terribly during that game and I was a bit surprised it wasn't abandoned. It would take a complete re-turfing to clear up all the mess from that game.

We were in the South Stand, the very first thing we noticed when sat down was how much water was retained in the ground, even though it hadn't rained a lot. As the game progressed it was deteriorating quite a bit. Worst I've seen it for a while.
