So Charlton with some very speedy players, get marked by Mansell and Lawrence two of the slowest players at this level. Lawrence was let go by Shrewsbury, but he is good enough for us, and Mansell is just not good enough at this level. DC has f**ked about with goalies for 2 years without getting a decent one. Then we have the inevitable 5 changes, from a team that has won it's last 2 games. Of course he doesn't change the defence because there is very little he can change. We have an unbalanced squad with players who are just not good enough at this level. The "2nd change" 11 are not as good as the "first team" but it's play these players, or it's never play half the squad and end up with them as the first eleven eventually when all the other players get injured and overworked. Also, Charlton is a difficult place to go and win. I think the idea is to nail down our home games with the in form players and let the others "have a go" at Charlton. We will see what happens in Jan. Some Are not up to L1 evidently.

And we will sit just above half way in our first year back at this level. We have had good results and bad resylts. Very much midtable We will be fine this season. Take a breath. We need some bolstering in January but would hope the real progressive signings will be made in the summer Are you not bothered that our manager has dropped the entire midfield and attack of a winning team and replaced them with absolute dross ? If we picked a decent side and lost fair enough but this was verging on deliberately throwing the match. Its really really weird what hes done.

Had Line and O.Clarke been fit for selection, surely they could have played the 2nd half at the very least. They could have prevented the avalanche.

If the players weren't soddin good enough at this level they wouldn't be top ten ffs. Get real for christs sake, you win some, you lose some. Today we soddin lost, nothing more, nothing bleedin less. All we can ask is we go into every game doing our best to win, Today we didn't and thats what im watered off about.

Not saying i am happy with the changes but I have no idea of the fitness of any of the players. Would have imagined one of Lines or Ollie on the bench and or starting if fit enough Not suprised Ellis didnt start as he had an.ice pack on hos knee on Saturday

Progress. 5-1 last time, only 4-1 today. Don't have to play them again!

To suggest DC is practically throwing the game is absolutely ridiculous. I do think he has a bit too much faith in some of the fringe players, but expect those positions to be strengthened this month. Roll on Saturday UTG.

This game just shows that we have a top half/play-off challenging first XI but lack strength in depth. Some of the players today are a little way off being of the required quality. But wasn't it the back 5 who couldn't defend set pieces who let us down today? Perhaps 2 games in 48 hours caught up with them, which begs the question why didn't DC also start with J Clark and McChrystal. As the other poster suggested at least DC/Weal now know they need to spend some money this January, whether there's any money to be spent will come clearer by the end of the month.

Six points from nine over Christmas is a good return. Rovers are where I expect them to be with this squad. Ultimately poor defending/marking has cost us again. Not a good day but you win some, lose some. Sometimes draw.

He has picked players he knows are sh** Puddy, Lawrence, Mansell and players not up to league 1 in Moore and Sinclair ahead of the likes of Taylor, Colckett, Lines, Bodin, Montano, Clarke etc. If someone on here thinks doing that would do anything other then almost certainly guarantee we dont win then i don't think you are being honest. I dont believe he deliberately threw the game but its the strangest line up since McGhee played Parkes on the Wing and Virgo up top. Anyway may that be the last time these players start.
