Puddy 3.5 - The goals weren't massively his fault in my opinion, but still a poor showing. Felt that his reach due to his short stature worked against him massively today.
Leadbitter 5.5 MOM - Felt he did quite well. DC did the right thing to take him off to prevent further injury. Lockyer 4 - Poor. Hartley 4 - Covered for Brown in second half as he was pushed up. Was ok. Brown 4 - Attacking down the left wing was good, defense was terrible.
Moore 4 - I don't rate him. Very inconsistent. Should have been played wider to cover their wing back. Mansell 5.5 - Actually I feel like he had a decent game today compared to what most people have said about him today. Quite rusty. Would like to see him played in a stronger team. Sinclair 4.5 - Ran lots, but ultimately ineffective. Lawrence 3 - Weak footed, slowed up a lot when about to commit to tackles. 90 minutes was far too much to ask. Numerous incompleted passes, short and long. Time to think about retiring I think.
Easter 5.5 - Goal was opportunistic. Otherwise left no impression. Gaffney 3 - I love Gaffney but that was a very poor show. At least twice he passed back to our defense but went straight to a Charlton player.
Subs: Taylor 4.5 - Had a good chance right at the end, not on long enough and didn't have any decent support. Swung for another player during an altercation, luck to not get sent off. his reaction reminds me when he clashed with Grimsby's keeper at Conference play off final. Harrison 5.5 - Our best forward today, suffered from poor service. Should have scored at the end. J. Clarke NOLE - I was at the other end of the ground, didn't get a good look.
Crowd 8 - Great atmosphere from the Gas. Keep it up! Ref 6 - Fair. Charlton 7 - Pacey and efficient. DC 4 - Overcompensated squad rotation due to lots of games in short space of time.

Puddy 4.5 though not responsible for the goals, he has no physical presence and is clearly not League 1 Lead bitter 6 as I have said many times good going forward but not a great defender Lockyer 2 simply not good enough, needs time out of the team to rebuild confidence Hartley 3 should take more responsibility Brown 4 average at best Lawrence 4 bright start but understandibily faded Sinclair 4 difficult one good club man always gives 100% but is not good enough for this league Mansell 4 see Lawrence Moore 4.5 see Lawrence Gaffney 3 Poor kept giving the ball away and did not win enough headers Easter 4 average at best
Taylor 4.5 too late really to make an impact Harrison 4.5 tried but not good enough J Clarke 4.5 got a few good crosses over
Charlton 7 should not have shipped 9 goals against them in two games Ref 5 poor DC 2 got it wrong today, went for a draw but lost 4-1, may as well have gone for it and lost 4-1
My opinion is we are a better team with Sinclair out of the team. It gives us more invention and gives the attacking players more to work with. We need one big centre half who commands the back line. If DC thinks CLarke Salter coming back is the answer he is wrong. He will take a while to adjust to this level. A new goalkeeper is essential. Not a loan keeper an experienced keeper over 30. Preferably one who speaks English.....

Puddy 4 though not really to blame for anything
Leadbitter 5 Lockyer 3 time for a rest I reckon Hartley 4 Brown 4
Moore 4 Mansell 5 Sinclair 4 ran his socks off as ever Lawrence 3 really really bad, was hoping for better.
Easter 5 as he scored, not much other impact Gaffney 3 really poor show from Gaffers I'm afraid.
Subs: Taylor 4 didn't get any service really. Harrison 4.5 J. Clarke 4
Crowd 9 (proud to be Gas) Ref 6 Charlton 7

Puddy 6 didnt do much wrong. Leadbitter 6.5 did well but couldnt get forward much as Moore was playing more central. Lockyear 4 yes at fault for 2 goals but a great chested clearance at 1 - 0. Hartley 6. No nonsense defending. Brown 5 hampered by yellow card thanks to Gaffers fab through ball to thier forward in the first half. Couldn't tackle after that. Didnt give up. Moore 6 looked the best of our midfield. Mansell 4 off the pace Sinclair 4.5 good defensive headers from a couple of thier corners. Ran around lots. Looked lost. Lawerence 2 looked like he'd blown a gasket before half time. So many misplaced passes. Sadly past it. Gaffney 4 totally isolated. Shocking watward passes to our non existant midfield. Easter 6 wouldnt have taken him off.
Subs didnt make any.difference. Charlton 5 poor side given massive confidence boost twice by our ineptitude. Fans 8 were deflated by weird team selection but did our best. Felt a bit shortchanged by Clarkes team selection. Ref 6 wasn't to bad DC 1 Got it shockingly wrong and should have said so. Yes he is a legend but this one was a nightmare.
