Very sad to hear that we had a well liked old tote ender pass on n the day of the Wimbledon game. Mark Burnel AKA Bernie i was wondering if posting this was appropriate but maybe we can help the family with some financial help at such a time. RIP gasheads

oh no. I hope his family are coping as well as can be expected, but as always with these things i do not know what to say.
There is a mental health petition still on here which is relevant to this and i think people should look at signing it.

I have only just learned of this sad news. I went to school with Mark and stood on the Tote End terrace with him on more Saturday's than I can remember.
Mark was a lovely bloke, we spoke in the club house pre-match earlier this season
Can't believe this news - condolences to his family
God bless you Mark - we will miss you
RIP.

Horrible news. My condolences and sympathies go out to all Mark's family and friends at this sad time.
When someone's time has come to pass, a Gashead to the end. United we stand, glass in hand, to toast our absent friend.
Rest in Peace Mark.

I Still can't believe this news, Mark was the first lad I made friends with at Speedwell school, I walked into the form classroom for the very first time and did not recognise one face from my junior school [1st day of secondary school] - This tall skinny lad waved at me and shouted 'Sit here mate' and so I did. Then he asked 'Rovers or C*ty?' - Rovers I replied, we were then good friends throughout my time at Speedwell, and we attended so many games home and away. We use to hang out together during the summer holidays and I knew his mum dad and sister really well., as did he mine.
I saw Mark a few times up at the Mem over the past few years, he always took time to talk to me and my wife, he had mellowed a lot from our youth, but then, most of us have. When we played Doncaster at the Millennium stadium Mark and his family were sat directly behind me and my family, 45,000 Gas heads, what were the chances of that, we had not seen each other in over 20 years!! - If you watch the DVD [Sky TV] during the national anthem [at the start] yep, that's me and my wife and her mum, Mark and his family were stood behind us, how he laughed when he saw my face beaming across that stadium!!
God bless you and your family Mark. RIP.
