I hate it when you write your posts with lemon juice. Now I'm going to have to hold my monitor over a candle, so I can read it. showing my age. Actually I might explain that to my son tomorrow. We have a load of lemons. Fruit that is.

Can't wait for mario balloteli to score our first goal. The only thing I hope was right in your OP was the score to be honest.

Interesting preview on the Alfreton website...
SATURDAY, AUGUST 23rd, 3pm
Alfreton Town begin the August Bank Holiday with a Vanarama Conference home away game against Wrexham Bristol Rovers at the Impact Arena Memorial Stadium on Saturday. Kick-off is 3pm.
Reds assistant manager Russ O'Neill, standing in for suspended Nicky Law for the fourth successive game, will be looking for the side to kick on from a hugely promising display in a 2-0 defeat at Forest Green Rovers last Saturday.
O'Neill will require a late fitness check on striker Paul Clayton who missed the Rovers game with blisters. Apart from that, there are no other injury worries as the Reds go in search of their first league points of the season at the fourth attempt with three successive defeats leaving the side bottom of the table.
Standing in the way are Wrexham Bristol Rovers who have so far collected six points one point from their first three outings with a 2-1 opening day win at Dartford followed by a 3-0 defeat at home to Gateshead.
defeat at Altrincham last Saturday.
Last time out saw a 1-0 home victory over manager Kevin Wilkin's former team Nuneaton Town at the Racecourse last Saturday with striker Louis Moult's fourth minute goal against his former employers being enough to secure all three points for the Dragons.
LAST SEASON
Alfreton took the honours in the league last season as they recorded a notable festive league double over Wrexham.
The Reds recorded a 3-2 win in North Wales on Boxing Day as they came from behind to a 64th minute Mark Carrington goal for the hosts to go 2-1 up through Michael Wylde (73) and Job Ayo Akinde (83).
Wrexham equalised on 87 through Leon Clowes but Chris Westwood netted a dramatic late winner for Alfreton in the fifth minute of added time against his former club.
The return fixture on New Year's Day saw Alfreton record a 1-0 win at the Impact Arena thanks to a Job Ayo Akinde goal on 45+1 minutes.
Wrexham did taste success against Alfreton last season as they recorded a 3-1 FA Cup first round victory at the Racecourse on November 9th. We didn't play them because they were in the League.

If we win - Every Match Thread must have the wrong team.
This is it Gas we've found our lucky run, it starts today all thanks to an MG from Whales who paid £20 for his Ticked!
Priceless. UTG for record I do know whales is the place.and wales is that animal made from rubber!!! paid £20.50 to be precise. Sitting in exec bar as we speak, so my 20odd quid was pretty good estimate.

Pitch looks better. Fortnight of rain must've helped... (although cutbacks are forcing that bloke to mow the grass with an invisible lawnmower)

Bristol Rovers: Mildenhall, Lockyer, Parkes, Trotman, Brown, Monkhouse, Mansell, Clarke, Martin, Cunnington, Taylor.
Substitutes: Jake Gosling, Jamie White, Will Puddy, Daniel Leadbitter, Ellis Harrison.
I'd like to see Harrison come on for 20 minutes to see what he can do.
