Puddy 6.5 did what he had to do and did OK, he is not for me but cannot complain today J Clarke 7 played well in defence and attacking, gives 100%. Lockyer 8.5 credit where credit is due he had a shocker Monday but was almost faultless today McChrystal 8 considering he has not played much he was very good. Nice to have a organiser in defence and was always encouraging others. Not the answer but still a good player. Brown 7.5 Quite quiet but solid Lines 7.5 Still the best outlet for making chances for others, good solid game Montano 6.5 needs to do more for me and needs more consistent O Clarke 8.5 playing out of his skin, much better option than the beard. Bodin 7.5 brilliant goal, always a danger but drifted in and out the game Taylor 7 has been quiet recently, will not be impressing possible suitors Harrison 9 MOM I am his harshest critic but he was fab today, ran his are off and scored 4 great goals
Lawrence hole Moore 6.5 there is a good player in there somewhere Easter 6.5 clever moves without being dangerous
Ref 5 average DC 9 that's better, who is he going play next Saturday? Northampton 3 water poor Crowd 9 back to its best
Totally different side and performance to Monday! Trust DC, and note no Sinclair and we win!!!

Puddy 6 Not much to do,but did ok when called J. Clarke 7 defended well even going forward Lockyer 7 looked more comfortable alongside MM McChrystal 7 better than i hoped, slotted back in seemlessly Brown 7 defended well, not as needed foward wise today Bodin 7 beautifull goal and some lovely touches, shame it took so long to find his form O. Clarke 8 really has stepped up lately, certainly changed my opinion, well done Olly Lines 8 back to his best Montano 6.5 worked hard and got back well to defend Taylor 6 played ok just didn't fall for him around the box Harrison 9 Best i have seen him play, looked a centre foward today.four goals and good decision making on the ball. Subs: Moore 6.5 hopefully the best is yet to come.looks good running at players. Easter 6 Lawrence nole Crowd 6 Ref 7 Northampton 4 They won the league easily, either they've got worse or maybe DC has improved us more than we realise.

Puddy 6.5 a quiet afternoon.did everything ok. J. Clarke 7.5 a good game Lockyer 8 thats more like it Tom McChrystal 8.5 the defence looks so much better with Macca Brown 7.5 more like his old self Bodin 8 another great goal,he's looking confident O. Clarke 9 Olly has really stepped up to the plate ,him and Lines work so well together Lines 8 another strong display Montano 7 works well with Browner Taylor 7 nothing fell for him today but still gave a hardworking display Harrison 9.5 he did it all today, a classic centre forwards display Subs: Moore 7 looked bright, unlucky not to score late on. Easter 7 showed his class in a decent cameo performance. Lawrence N.o.l.e Crowd 8 a decent turn out Ref 6 fussy but i've seen worse Northampton 3 truly awful at the back, they've got rid of some of their better players and it showed.

Puddy.6 competent in what he had to do Clarke. 7 solid all round performance Lockyer. 7.5 looked much more composed with mccrystal to guide him Mccrystal. 8.5. Solid no nonsense performance and never stopped guiding the rest of defence.even went to speak to purchase as Ellis scored his 4th. Brown. 7 reliable and consistent is his game Montana. 6.5 worked hard and gave his all for the team Clarke. 8.5 looks to have made the position his own another outstanding performance Lines. 8. Plays better when he can rely on his midfield partner as he did today Bodin. 7 took his goal well and contributes to team performance Taylor. 6.5 very quiet today seemed a bit off colour Harrison. 10 what can you say about that performance scored good goals and worked hard
Moore. 5 didn't get in the game much Lawrence. 5 couldn't understand the substitution Easter. 6 enthusiastic and worked the defence well
Ref. 6.5 did well enough for me
DC got his selection right this game

Puddy 7 clean sheet tidy all round.
J. Clarke 7 steady, good assist for second goal. Lockyer 7 more composed with Macca. McChrystal 8 leader and calming influence. Brown 7 back on his game, and another assist for third goal.
Bodin 8 on fire and really influencing games atm. Great goal with his right foot. O. Clarke 9 controlled the game, broke up play. The boy has come good. Lines 8 Grew into the game typical Linesy performance. Him and Ollie have made a great partnership and long may it continue. Montano 7 worked hard for the team no outstanding moments but done ok.
Taylor 6 worked hard but fairly quiet, rightly subbed. Harrison 10 a performance that left you wanting more. A menace, a beast and clinical in front of goal. Please back this up at Fleetwood!
Subs: Moore 6 Easter 6 Lawrence 6
Crowd 8 entertained Ref 8 Northampton 3 bad day at the office an understatement.

My own opinions of the game:
Puddy 7 Only really tested once but pulled off a good save.
J. Clarke 7.5 Defensively solid and did really well to cross for Harrison's first. Lockyer 7.5 The last three home games he has looked back to his best McChrystal 7 Good influence on Lockyer and Brown and . One dodgy moment that led to his booking. Brown 7 Confident performance where he benefited from the familiarity of Macca next to him and Montano ahead.
Bodin 8 Great strike on his weaker foot that was slightly forgotten about O. Clarke 9 Against a midfield three of Northampton he found a way to keep possession and release the right pass. Lines 8.5 Good performance as Rovers dominated the midfield. Montano 7.5 Was a part of the superb pass and move in the first half without getting a chance to show his end product.
Taylor 7 Same as Montano really Harrison 9.5 This was Harrison on the top of his game. Not just the goals but the hold up play and the tracking back.
Subs: Moore 6.5 Performed well but could have taken his man on more often Easter NOLE Lawrence NOLE
Crowd 7 Ref 8.5 One of the best I can remember for a long time. Played a great advantage for our first goal and overruled the lino for the second. Northampton 4.5 Not the worst team at the Mem this season but tactically naive- Boateng was at CDM but the other midfielders never seemed in a rush to get back. Also failed to tighten up after Rovers had shown early on that they were up for it. Overall though I'd say that this win was more due to Rovers being good than Northampton being poor, the play at times in the first half would have troubled far better teams and carved Northampton up.

Puddy 7 our worst attacker on the day. Clarke J 7.5 defended when he had to (twice) otherwise operated as an overlapping winger getting an assist and blazing a shot narrowly over the bar. McChrystal 7.5 our second worst attacker still almost scored from a corner. Has had harder games defensively sat on the bench Lockyer 8 when they did muster an attack he snuffed it out. Could have brought a deck chair out second half. Brown 7 our third worst attacker, again he and Monty linked well on the left
Bodin 8 could have won strictly the way he waltzed past their defensive statues and blasted in the opener Clarke 8 mopped up everything Lines 8 started a bit carelessly and missed a golden chance at the start of the second half but for the other 89 minutes 58 seconds plus stoppages he was pretty good Montano 8 was facing a makeshift right back and loved it. DC showed the Cobblers some mercy by subbing him early much to Monty's disappointment
Taylor 7 had to play second fiddle to Ellis today but still played significantly better than his namesake in their ranks Harrison 9 was mightily effective in both boxes today put in a real shift and proved he is lethal from two yards out ....four times
Moore 6 NTFC's best defender - broke up our attacks better than any of their backline..to be fair I think he's just rusty but Billy bob and Monty are likely to keep him rusty Easter 6 gave Matty some time off the pitch for good behaviour Lawrence NOLE
Crowd 8 buoyant and good humoured Ref 8 what's a good ref doing in a division like this? Northampton 2 some of them never got off the coach, they were hamstrung a bit by making their tactical subs so early in the game and then forced to use the third change at HT. it meant Hiram had to complete 90 mins and we know his engine runs out just past the hour mark. Sure enough he was playing his peculiar brand of walking football for the last quarter and was still their MOTM by some distance. To be fair JJ the Tool showed more character than we were used to seeing from him but that may have been incited by the serenading from the Thatchers End.
One of those 240 mile round trips that you're glad you've made twenty minutes into the game!
