Darrell is the best thing to happen to this football club in over a generation. The odd glitch for me is no big deal. He has my faith and backing. We are very fortunate (Higg's best appointment) to have this man at our club. Sod the boo-boys.

Worst case scenario we get promoted to the Premier League and end up having to play at trashton for a couple of seasons. It would kind of be fun to be the team to bring premier league football there! Might put more pressure on UWE and council as an added bonus. Where would the egg chasers go. Where would the 82ers go more likely.

Evolution not revolution. Continual progress keeping the momentum going. Achieving ambitions.
Having a squad of conference and league two players evolve to be league one players who can occupy a midtable position . That is evolution, that is achievement that is continuing momentum. As you climb the ladder the size of change may become smaller as its more difficult to achieve.
To finish between 12th and 7th will be continuing the evolution .Its sets the standard for next season too where it would be 3rd to 8th id imagine.

It's bizarre how the B Post turned not interview around, if he didn't say more off air, I'm surprised with James McNamara as I thought it was quite a sound reporter for that rag. I've amended the title for this thread as the whole article now sounds a load of c0bblers.

How do these interviews work? Depending on which source you go to (brookman/BBC Sport/Subs Bench/Bristol post) you get pretty much the same interview but a different interviewer. They must be swapping their voices out for their own but using the same interview but sometimes sneaking in the odd question on the side?
Bristol post seem to really exaggerate on a point or two here or there and make mountains out of molehills. Stuff like Darrell won't have any cash.

The evil post just feed off scraps, used to be a good paper years ago but now they just rework information from other sources. Completely useless rag these days not even worth wrapping chips in Was it though? Before the Internet and social media we knew very little of what was going on apart from the post and a bit on local news and radio. For all we know it could have been as bad but we had no forum to challenge it......

I think evolution could be 12th - 6th (last playoff place) - this is what gets fans going, isn't it mate ? Fans come out on mass when there's a chance of promotion (or even when fighting relegation). Those are our best football memories. Agree with all the rest

Though I was thinking more how DC might view it ,with evolution of the players abilities. If the situation where a 6th place led to a playoff victory and promotion it would be asking a great great deal for the conference players to rise a bigger step than ever. Not saying they couldn't master it but it might take time and that in football is not something many get the luxury of. DC may view finishing 7th and being just a point or two off the playoffs a better finish than sixth in the bigger scheme of things . The ceiling for most clubs is to finish 10th in the premier league and do well in the cups. For Rovers this must be the target [like any other ambitious club...except City of course who are bigger than the rest of course]

Yeah going back a bit when Chris swift used to report on rovers and the green un came out just a couple of hours after the match which was a good read the reporting was excellent. Now of course it's sh1t
