A bizarre and ludicrous decision more like and lucky it didn't cost us three points. Bodin is carrying an injury. I would have brought Monty on for him though, Moore couldn't pass to a Rovers shirt other than one very good lay off to Rory for a chance. He did a few decent things later on, but istm his confidence is shot. Those short passes which he kept under-hitting is a sign.

Couldn't make it today, how did Colkett play and what sort of reception did he get? His kit was clean.

I don't think Bodin is fully fit yet, so it was probably a precaution. Why he didn't use Montaño instead is beyond me. Fairly obvious he did a straight swap given Monty is a left winger? Although DC needs to get Moore & Gaffney back on form given that Easter & co aren't be picked anymore. Also fairly obvious that Moore is sh**.

Good win very pleased with that I can't believe Swindon kept on trying to play out from the back when we clearly had them in our pockets doing it. I think you've got to have one of the best squads in the division to play that way and they are average at best and will probably get relegated if they keep trying it. Playing Sinclair up top to stop them doing it was a very good tactical move too. I thought Sweeny was very solid and could have Man of match and the keeper looks very confident and assured it certainly didn't look like a young keeper making his home debut. UTG I know your not keen on the diamond midfield[which i felt we played today] but it did work well today as swindon struggled to cope with sinclair hassling them at the front of it. Yes I'm not keen on it st home but it did work today because we won. I still think we're much better playing with wide men at home generally though today it was sort of a diamond but Bodin was on his preferred right and they seemed to take it in turns to give us a bit of width on the left. We weren't overran out wide like we normally are when we play the diamond.

Also fairly obvious that Moore is sh**. He was poor today. Swindon were far more of a threat on the left flank, after Bodin went off and Moore came on. Probably the only way I could see them pinching an equaliser. Gaffney`s attempt at scoring was comical. His legs looked like mine, after eight pints of Thatcher`s Gold.

To be fair it came to him waist height from sbout 5 yards away so it was very difficult to react to that with a volly or header. That's the way it looked to me anyway. Anyone got any highlights ? Bodin goal was crazy.

Not saying Colkett wont do any damage today (lets be honest, anyone can against our defence!), but the few Swindon fans I do talk to think he has been largely anonymous in games so far (sound familiar?) with odd flash of quality (sound familiar?) and although he got MOTM in their last game he was very average in a bad bunch. Their goalie Vigo is excellent by all accounts though, lets try and put him off today! But of course some on here were outraged that we did not play him more, and that DC should effectively let Chlsea pick his team. The simple fact was that our midfield 3 were each far better than Colkett......and based on that it would seem that once again DC has got it right, despite a fair bit of criticism around this......though of course you will hear no apology from the moaners, because they are already looking out for the next thing to take issue with!

What criticism has DC got about letting CC go back to Chelsea? I think most have been positive about it?

Pretty sure a few people have said it was a mistake not to play him more coz big clubs will be loathe to loan us players in future.

I was disappointed when CC left because my memory of him was rose tinted with some of his goals and fancy skills.
Today confirmed for me the decision was spot on .... he was average at best ! Our three were ALL better today and combined very well. I was surprised at 12.00 when I saw Monty missing from the starting line up but again D.C. absolutely called it right. Very well done Boys today in all departments ...!!

Just got back and interesting to read the thread. Not always into formations but I thought we were more 433 today. But Sinclair was very good he really hassled Swindon from start to end and he set up several good chances.was really impressed with Sweeney, thought he looked comfortable on the ball and was a threat at corners. Lines, Bodin and OClarke were all good in midfield but I was amazed at how poor Swindon were. Their left wing played well and put some decent crosses over and had they had anything like an attack they might have won. Colkett was poor, he was pushed back into defence and never threatened and in any 50/50 ball he was muscled off it. All our MF were superior to him and it showed that DC was right. After what was reported yesterday I would imagine the manager must be embarrassed. Lumley played well in goal, had some near misses and did the basics well but didn't have much to save. The score might have been better for them than the Northampton match but I thought Swindon were just as poor and never used the space they had on many occasions thankfully. Important 3 points today with lots of hard games coming up in Feb. Can we give Rochdale a third successive home defeat? Or even a third successive 0-4 defeat! Well done DC good team performance and the right team selected to beat Swindon. UTG!

Great debut from Sweeney .... just what was needed at the back. Some good competition for places there now. He had a great game, can't believe he's only 19, looked v experienced

Bringing on Moore for Bodin .... brave decision ! A bizarre and ludicrous decision more like and lucky it didn't cost us three points. A right winger for a right winger, how bizarre and ludicrous
