FFS, even the old bill are taking the pi$$ At least they're happy to refer to him as a snake. Just goes to show what putting ambition* before loyalty can do to your reputation! *Ambition obviously a term used loosely when applied to someone who thinks that moving a couple of miles across the city and up a dozen places via a club in league freefall is a desirable career move!

With a bit of luck Bodin steps up, Taylor breaks a leg and we meet city next season.

One of the worse things about this transfer is that its almost certain they got him on the cheap. We dont know the fee but the unpalatable truth is city have got him for peaunuts, even if he fails its no big deal to lansdown.

I think I'll post when I calm down if I ever do. This guy has no feelings for us to do this and he won't have any feelings for them either. I really hope we replace him with someone better. He hasn't bothered in recent matches. An example of pure selfishness.Good riddance.

HERO TO ZERO.
Well talk of MT getting a club record 20+ goals a season for the third season on the trot and becoming closer to being a Rovers legend are now over. Unless we later hear the fee was a very good one for rovers I suspect MT has accepted he wont ever be welcome at Rovers again. That all the good times he the players and fans shared are gone Barry Hayles Marcus Stewart Paul Randall Alan Warboys Bruce Bannister Jason Roberts Jamie Cureton Nathan Ellington Rickie Lambert Devon White Carl Saunders Geoff Bradford
Matty Taylor could have been on that list of folk heroes. Now potentially he will be remembered for defecting only .....doing the dirty.
If the deal was good for him and Rovers then fair enough ,if it wasn't good for Rovers...well I don't need to elaborate . Walking out the front door head held high ? We shall see when the fee finally comes to light ,I would suggest if it was a good deal for Rovers the fee be made known after the window closes...before the venom really flies.

We will be Fed the usual crap from DC "Too good to turn down, Good business for the Club"..... I don't believe a word of it. Miss out on a decent replacement and this is negligence of the highest order, Taylor leaving has been a possibility all month, surely they had something lined up, alternatively it might just be what they wanted to get rid of the highest wage earner ? Sad thing for me is that I don't see Southend or Scunthorpe or Sheffield Utd selling their strikers and certainly not to their most hated rivals!! Four hours left gents.... please show me the club is in better hands than the last members of Box One! I want to believe it but things like this hit confidence hard.

They met his release clause and chucked him a wedge of cash. What could DC honestly have done about that?

If City were to go down and we played them next season who was the last individual player to get a Police escort on and off the pitch as the one Taylor would need? Fixed for you #UTG What is 10% of fick all?

I think we have to remember that we have not been in control of this whole sorry saga, the player has by dint of the contract signed in the summer which in truth we were all happy about at that time.I have supported this great club for 50 years and always will, am I disappointed hell yes will it stop me supporting everyone at the club in the future hell no.We are lucky to be chosen yeah sometimes it's a curse but I wouldn't swop it for anything else. And to rub salt into the wound...on the BBC transfer feed....some numpty has likened ZERO moving from rovers to city to going from TESCO TO SAINSBURYS. REALLY ARE YOU TAKING THE P###.

I just have this feeling that DC had no say in the Taylor transfer. Might be felt let down by the board. So it wouldn't surprise me that DC might just leave when the next best offer comes along. Hope I'm wrong

What a classless *******.... "I'll be cheering on the boys tonight". HAHA f**k off.
“It was just too tempting for me,” Taylor told Bristol City Player HD in an exclusive first interview.
“I know the rivalry is fierce, but at the end of the day I’m a footballer and I’ve got to do what’s best for my career. This is what I felt was right and I’m glad I’m here now.
“I want to show my skills at a higher level. First things first we need to get a few wins on the board this season and get away from the relegation zone.
“But the dying ambition here is to get into the Premier League – that’s the main aim for me coming here.
“The Bristol City fans know the rivalry as well as I do, but fingers crossed I can repay them with a few goals.”
“It was a long way off back then,” he recalled. “But goal by goal I’ve got a bit closer. I’m just over the moon to be in the Championship and to be here at Bristol City.
“It’s been an amazing few seasons. I’ve come from non-league to the Championship in two and a half years.
“Back-to-back promotions with Rovers was amazing and that success is something I want to replicate here.
“I’ll be cheering the boys on tonight and hopefully I can get out on the pitch sooner rather than later.”Read more at www.bcfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/city-switch-just-too-tempting-for-taylor-3548068.aspx#hmtb5ToQTUL7df1P.99
