Don't know if any of you noticed, but there was an article in yesterday's programme which sadly confirmed he had passed away.
I assume this is the same Rod Chapman who stood as a potential fans director a few years ago.
Either way, rest in peace fellow gashead.

Very sad to hear this Brian.
Rod was a passionate Gashead who i had a few deep conversations with. He challenged the club in our darkest times in the summer of '14. And although i didn't agree with all his thoughts/ideas i will always respect him for putting his head above the parapet and being the only one to challenge for the Supporters Club directors position that was being determined that year. I took my hat off to him then as i do now.
Rest In Peace Rod. Thoughts and condolences to his family and friends.
Edit: I believe he was called Green Mantle on here.

I echo everything that Jon said. Many of us, myself included, are quick to
criticize; but when push comes to shove few have the balls to stand up publicly.

Really sorry to hear this,i was one of Rods canvassers in 2014 and was disappointed to not win,but that is democracy.Havent seen him for a while now and the reason is fairly obvious.
Rest in Peace Rod you will be sorely missed

what awful news.
When I opened the website and say just 'Rod Chapman' as a title I thought 'I hope it's not...'
I voted for him in 2014 when he stood up and was counted. What a shame. Thoughts to friends & family.

RIP Rod, sad to lose yet another member of the Gas family, my thoughts are with his family. So sad that Maybe he dreamt of sitting in a new stadium, perhaps seats at the new stadium could have the names on of our late friends.

Quite often met him cycling through the area I live, always had a quick chat about how we were getting on.
