Get real it's a forum, we all type on keyboards from home or mobile, I'm not going to knock on your door and say I feel sorry for you am I. Remember your promise about no more negative posts. What im saying is by all means strongly disagree with me and hammer my posts or threads but dont call me names or tell me to f**k off . May I suggest you try a new hobby, or perhaps switch allegiances to Chelsea or Real Madrid? Just saying as you don't seem to get much fulfillment out of supporting the Gas at a time that represents pretty much the best years we've had in decades. Seems to me if you're like this now, you may as well give up!

I firmly believe Darrell Clarke has all the attributes to be the kind of legacy Manager who'll stay loyal to us for many years ahead and see us push us on up the Leagues. But I fear the OP could be proven right if the UWE hits a stone wall and no alternative is quickly arrived at.
As we presently stand League One is all we are capable of bearing in mind how poor a Stadium the Mem is' this limits the calibre of Player prepared to sign for us as we can't compete with Clubs higher up the food chain. Darrell is the best Manager in my time following the Rovers (1975) and I've seen many players and managers go to progress their careers elsewhere.
Why would Darrell' if faced with a more edifying option than Leeds stay loyal to us unless he can see our potential being realised. The only way that can happen is with work being undertaken on a new Stadium. Without it we are what we've been for so long' a club ring fenced to be in the lower leagues 😇
Now as Fans we can accept that and give our support unwavering but as a professional man Darrell would have to look to pastures new. Would it be even fair to hold him back in those circumstances?
So for me it's all about the UWE or a quick viable alternative.

Oh.....and by the way, my niece (who was born in Bristol), is married to a FANTASTIC USA human being that has been with me to a few Gas games. He considers himself Gas. He works for the US military in computers and such, but he's not allowed to tell us what he does (We're lead to believe he flies drones in enemy territory). So, bluebutterfly if it's alright with you (it's 10pm here but earlier in Hawaii) I'm going to to send him this link and we'll see who you are and what you are by the time (your time) you get home from work tomorrow. He will be gone before the start of next season and we will struggle in the bottom half in 2017/18 because hes very ambitious and he will know he needs to move on asap. Im a bit like a jew at a nuremburg rally on here so i wont be posting much from now on. By all means bring this thread and the luke james or any other thread/post to my attention if im proved totally wrong as i very much hope thats the case. accusations 1] shi**ead     wrong 2] attention seeker  wrong 3] wum          wrong 4]Opinlonated     true Rovers fan since i went with my dad from 1967-75 played for years and watched odd games,came back watching regularly from 2001 until present time. We have some great players here at the club but ive got severe doubts about the future progress of the club based on events of this season despite really enjoying the football. Why not create a special forum for Blue Butterfly as shithead or not, I haven't seen any sort of a contribution from you other than inflaming pointless arguments and attention seeking. I have to say this thread in my opinion appears to be more about you (bluebutterfly) than it does about the subject. Which is why i am moving it to General Chat.
You have raised some decent discussion recently, but all too often it appears you are the equivalent of a soddin Forum Arsonist. So please with respect, have a little think about your style of posting.

I don't think he will however as he has been talking about the project to get us into the championship in the next 3 seasons and genuinely seems bought into it. Once we've got the training facilities and Stadium sorted he'll have everything he needs off the pitch to survive in the championship. What are you basing your opinion on? |

If it's true that the OP went with his dad back in the 60s he must be, well just about in his 60s, you'd think he'd be a bit more mature by now. Oh and if he thinks I'm being a coward and a keyboard warrior I would be perfectly happy to meet him sometime at a game and say it straight to his face! im 58 and you havnt been abusive,the others were abusive just because i have a different opinion to them. why do you think im immature? and do you just want to meet me face to face because you have worked out that im not young?
