He will be gone before the start of next season and we will struggle in the bottom half in 2017/18 because hes very ambitious and he will know he needs to move on asap I agree DC is ambitious and I think he could easily go in the summer if he wants. I don't think he will however as he has been talking about the project to get us into the championship in the next 3 seasons and genuinely seems bought into it. Once we've got the training facilities and Stadium sorted he'll have everything he needs off the pitch to survive in the championship. What are you basing your opinion on? dc,hamer and wael knew that taylor would likely be sold with the very cheap release clause,i believe dc wanted a striker and an experienced goalkeeper but the board told him he needed to get several players off the wage bill but he couldnt raise enough money because he couldnt shift the 6 although he managed to offload some loanees. I think the board have scuppered our promotion chances by not backing him and deep down he now knows he needs to move while his stock is high. This is not a very popular view on here of course. |

Oh.....and by the way, my niece (who was born in Bristol), is married to a FANTASTIC USA human being that has been with me to a few Gas games. He considers himself Gas. He works for the US military in computers and such, but he's not allowed to tell us what he does (We're lead to believe he flies drones in enemy territory). So, bluebutterfly if it's alright with you (it's 10pm here but earlier in Hawaii) I'm going to to send him this link and we'll see who you are and what you are by the time (your time) you get home from work tomorrow. Sleep well. UTG! Not every day you get a death threat on here,wonder if you will be deleted because of this? |

Im a bit like a jew at a nuremburg rally on here so i wont be posting much from now on. By all means bring this thread and the luke james or any other thread/post to my attention if im proved totally wrong as i very much hope thats the case. accusations 1] shi**ead wrong 2] attention seeker wrong 3] wum wrong 4]Opinlonated true Rovers fan since i went with my dad from 1967-75 played for years and watched odd games,came back watching regularly from 2001 until present time. We have some great players here at the club but ive got severe doubts about the future progress of the club based on events of this season despite really enjoying the football. When I was a lickle lickle baby and my mum and dad used to put me to bed, they always said "Sleep well". I never took that as a death threat. UTG! PS, I see on a GrayRaydon post the one and only thing you've admitted to is being "Opinlonated". I'm a bit of a polyglot but I'm still struggling to work out what that means. |

I can see your logic, but I think you're making a few assumptions there. I think DC gets full backing from the board when he wants it, but as he's shown in his time at Rovers he's not willing to pay over the odds for players and is keen to spend within his means. Unfortunately I think we are still in with a shout of the playoffs even though we are woefully short of championship quality on and off the pitch. We're not ready for promotion in my opinion. |
