That's pretty cool. They should be playing in quarters, though.
He also dropped the ponytail and earring, so I guess the guy is just a soldier, now, and not a pirate.

Not surprised the Yanks have replaced the sword for a gun as they do like their hand cannons. The ball on the Marksmen badge looks better than the one on ours which I think looks like one of those plastic ones you could win at the fair in the 80's that swerved all over the place whenever you smashed it.

Cheeky bastard let's call the copyright police and sue the arse off them! As it's the States, where you can be sued millions for making your coffee too hot, how about we sue them for some extortionate amount, and boom, that's the UWE paid for

Ha yeah, the 99p-er. Just noticed the ball on our badge is wrong. It's supposed to be pentagons surrounded by hexagons, but ours is all hexagons.

(BTW I did know you were joking) I like the silhouette version and prefer the gun. He is more thick wristed than our lad as well.

Keeper as back up for Lumley? Plus with a name like marksmen you would expect the strikers to be good. Unless they are being ironic

I've sent their managers an email asking why they picked the badge and for some info about their club. I'll let you know if I get a reply.

From the photo it looks like green and white quarters? My bad. I opened the link and saw they play in hoops. You're quite right, quarters it should be.

Got a reply already:
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. The team I run is a small Sunday league team out of western New York in the States. Our town, Youngstown, is a small village on Lake Ontario, where an Old Historic fort is. It is called Fort Niagara, and it is a huge park with multiple soccer (football) fields we played on growing up. I had the idea to slightly modify the Bristol Rovers logo since I thought it could capitulate our identity as a club: a proud club from a relatively small town with honor and a great history. I could speak about this in further detail if you'd like. I truly hope anyone who is associated with the club doesn't take any offense to this. It wasn't done in any way to demean or mock a club like yours. We truly have respect for English football and we simply loved the badge and wanted to try and make it our own. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
Ben Hastings
I sent him a link to this thread too
