bristolroverssc.co.uk/2017/02/13/sad-news/Bristol Rovers Supporters Club Committee were very saddened to learn today of the passing of Jean Shaw, a long-standing member of the Supporters Club. Jean was a ‘fixture’ on our coaches to Rovers away games right up until the very end of her life although she had not been well recently. In recent years Jean has helped out in the Bristol Room at home games with our coach bookings and 50/50 Draw. Jean’s husband, Ralph, was our Coach Steward for many years and served on the Committee covering away travel until his death. Jean was always at his side. Coach ONE will never be the same again. Jean will be sorely missed by all who knew her and on behalf of the Committee I wish to express our sincere condolences to Jean’s family and her many friends at Rovers. Rest in Peace Jean and may you be reunited with your beloved Ralph once more in ‘Rovers Heaven’. Jim Chappell, BRSC Chairman.

Yes. More sad news and another lifelong gashead destined never to sit in a new stadium. Absolutely lovely lady, who I met just about every game we played. Even went to Rochdale the other week. God bless you Jean. Reunited with Ralph..xx utg

Have known Jean for 27 years. Always travelled on the coach she ran with Ralph from Bath back in the Twerton era. Will always remember her for shouting 'alf hour' at coach stops. RIP Jean united with Ralph in gashead heaven.

Jean was a lovely lady and her relationship with Ralph was one of those that you could see was built on love and respect. They seemed like peas in a pod, I am sure it was really hard for Jean when Ralph passed away. She was honest and told me what she thought on more than one occasion when I was involved in the Supporters Club, I didn't always agree with what she had to say. However not once did she shun me or avoid eye contact after I had resigned and always had a friendly word to say.
Rest in peace Jean, hopefully you and Ralph are embarking upon a long and lovely away trip on Heaven's Coach One, masters of all you survey as it always once was....

R.I.P. Jean. Always there through thick and thin. A really friendly and amiable lady and as John said, quite forthright at times but she took as good as she gave without rancour.
It is Rovers loss but Ralph's gain as they reunite in blue and white heaven.
