We are toothless up front (need Bodin back). I'd be happy with a 0-0. You called that 1 right Kippo well done. Are you happy? I am good result and a solid performance. Happy with point. So proud of the team. They make my heart swell!

I know I need to wash my hands, disinfect my appendages, but I enjoyed this from the dark side, in fact it's made my evening:
"AshtonG666 AshtonG666 Members 153 305 posts ID: 736 Posted 4 hours ago Come on, why are Rovers not losing against Sheff United FFS 1 person likes this"
sorry for the lack of formatting

Ohhhhhhh my gooooooodnesssssss. Here we go again. It's like deja vu. Of course I'm not lucky enough to be at the games which is why I LOVE GasChat, but I've heard this all before (well, in the last 2 seasons anyway). "Rovers doing good", "Rovers doing okay", blah blah blah. DC sorting stuff out (like our defence) blah blah blah. Rovers about to go on a mad run, blah blah blah. "Rovers unbeaten in the next 12 games", blah blah blah. "Rovers getting promoted into the Championship" blah blah blah. "Why does DC keep playing Sinclair" as he plays his 12 consecutive winning game that eventually takes us to the promised land. Then we can all hold hands together shouting "We're not in Europe blah blah blah". "The only reason DC's still in his job is 'cos the shiite went the other way at the same time". In 2021 we've got Juventus and Barcelona coming to our new stadium and no-one with 10 fingers or less will remember that shiite that used to play the other side of the river....you know, where the rugby team plays. Gotta go now, had a ruby earlier that's fighting with me, so I'm off for a matty. UTG!

"I'm off for a matty." - I like that expression. I feel that if it's used widely enough it could make it into the Oxford English Dictionary.

whatever you do DON'T try a "Henbury".... I'm not THAT sick! It involves a little known local custom of 20 Naked Virgins dancing around a "Henbury", whilst you chant sh&thead, sh&thead, sh&thead and reading the Bristol City Post.....

Ridiculous decision to cut him out altogether. A bloody waste paying his wages and being too stubborn not to include him.
Crikey, did you not get a card today or something? Do you think it's good to pay a player who can still pose a decent threat when in comparison to the forwards we have now but rule him out completely? We saw that DC backtracked on Mildy so it's not like anyone would be shocked. In my opinion it's a case of cutting your nose to spite your face plus no one is seeing Easter to consider making an offer of any sort. It seems to me we have a strike force that is lacking in confidence & we look toothless right now.

I see your point however we have played 3 good sides we have only scored 1 goal yes but only let 1 in too? Give them a few more games yet before we judge. I wouldn't mind seeing Easter back he still has plenty to offer in this division but we all know how stubborn DC seems to be! In DC we trust.

It's interesting that according to Wiki Easter's played 59 games, I wonder if a contract extension kick in if he gets to 60 games, as I can't think of any other reason why we'd be paying his wages but not playing him now that the transfer window has closed, given he's been a regular first team squad member all season.

I would have thought that it's more likely that a clause like this would kick in after a specific amount of games played in a season, rather than total career club games. Could be wrong though. Anyone know how many Easter has played this season?
Whilst I don't have an issue with Lucas being in the squad ahead of Easter, it does make you wonder where it would leave us should another of our strikers pick up an injury.

Certainly didn't think of that & could be a possibility as I honestly thought he has a great first touch & good footballing brain. I'd have liked to see him just behind our front two. It just seems so unnecessary as I see it. Why restrict yourself from playing a guy who certainly scored some clever goals ? Your theory could well hold water.

The manager has told him he is not part of his longer term plans. That could have an impact on his conduct amongst the squad and his desire on a matchday.
