Matched them man to man. Great result. Lumley and Sweeney are fab. Just need a striker and I'd be looking for play offs!

What an exciting end to the match! Fans were fantastic tonight, Sheff Utd a very good footballing team. Defended v well. Monty looked brilliant when he came on. Bodin looked great up front. Lines played well. Gaffney appalling. UTG! Gaffney was actually quite good - he won loads in the air, held the ball well in spite of 2 defenders being on his back, but his passing (like most of the team) was a bit wayward and he was unlucky to be ruled offside with a brilliant header. From where I was it looked like Bodin had a poor game by his standards of late. All about opinions I suppose!

really ? the weak link - reminds me of Gosling - a bit of a jogger. I didn't say he was the best player on the pitch, but he tackled and covered better than I've seen him previously. Good to hear. Something to build on. Hope the fans at the matches get behind him. He's a talented footballer who has had a horrible time of things.

It's funny how differently people see the same game. I thought Gaffney had a decent game tonight worked extremely hard as always & unlucky with the disallowed goal. No idea if he was offside from my viewpoint similarly not sure about the pen claim one thing I would say is if the ref was so sure it wasn't a foul why didn't he book him for diving ? Thought defensively we were great Patrington looks a class act not as much of a threat going forward as Leadbitter but calm on the ball & Sweeney is a man mountain. Well deserved point & could have won it at the end not sure quite how the ball stayed out during the scrum in the six yard box.

We are toothless up front (need Bodin back). I'd be happy with a 0-0. You called that 1 right Kippo well done. Are you happy? I am good result and a solid performance.

Good point. Not sheffs first 11 as saved a few for their top the table clash on sat, but we played well. I know we couldnt do anything about the snake leaving, but its so typically us that were so much tighter defensively but are now going to struggle for goals

Well what a great 0-0 under the lights, good atmosphere a good tempo game, just a goal would have topped off performance from the boys tonight especially at the back. Very quick summary.
Lumley-9 immense, kept us in the game just one small cock up when they hit the post, from his slippy clearance. Hope we can keep him Partington-8 impressive, most impressive Locks- 8 solid Sweeney- 9 arrested their strikers. None shall pass Brown - 7 did good but lacks a bit of pace Beard -7 worked his nuts off in an untidy but effective fashion as always Clarke - 7 battler , similar to beard Lines -6 did okay, but a bit lightweight Bodin -6 see lines. Gaffney - 6 did okay also, should of scored when clean through , then dived. Lucky not to get a yellow. Scored a goal but was a yard offside so rightly disallowed. Did more in the last 10 and was more effective when the wingers came on Harrison - 5, can't remember much that he did. Shame really.
Subs
Monty - 8 did well won more headers than gaff and produced good save from the keeper Moore- 4 could've Patrick Moore, not good enough. Maybe needs a run of games but playing like that and surrendering the ball too easily my Nan will have a better chance of a run. She's dead.
Crowd 8 the noise was great and we blunted the blades Ref -5 dog sh** but the lino's were worse missed loads of fouls and corners ball went off the pitch at least three times from both teams and nothing given DC - 8. Stopped them from playing if we brought on wingers 5 mins earlier we could've scored, but would've left us more open to a goal.
Great result against top of the league, Championship quality side.

Cracking game.......nice touch that Rovers supporters on the west side stayed long enough to applaud off the Sheffield Utd team who returned the compliment.....classy touch.

Great result. How did Partington play? He played very well, sometimes i was aware that danny wasnt there to make a surging run forward but he used the ball well and looked very capable defensively.

I thought sweeney, partington and lunley were all very good tonight.
Partington done very well what leadbitter can't do which is defend I think there's a lot more to come from him
Sweeney is very mature CB for his age, what a prospect shame he's not on our books
Lumley like Saturday made some great saves.
Good to see lines making more of these driving runs the opposition just can't stop him when he gets going.
Up top looked weak I thought gaffney was awful, wayward passes, losing possession and what was that all about when he had the one on one chance just dreadful.

I thought the 1st half was cagey, felt a bit sorry for ellis on his own up front[gaffney deep] but the 2nd half was fantastic entertainment. dc used his fave tactic of bringing wingers on with 30 mins remaining and sheff utd struggled to cope with it as montano and moore were very lively. Gaffney worked hard but made a terrible hash of the chance when he was clean through on goal. Hard to believe i was watching such a quality game so soon after the disasters of the pre dc era.

Great game of footie again tonight , lads gave everything and thought our game plan was executed perfectly , Yes the opposition had spells where they had the ball for long spells but I think we contained them well and tried to catch them on the counter. Every one of them put in another great shift tonight DC had obviously done his home work on the blades and also deserves a huge pat on the back! Second half in particular was excellent and thought we had a couple of chances to win it , but that said so could they ! Fair result in the end , yet again we have proved that the mem is not an easy place to come and get points !!! Well done gas and well done supporters great turn out for a Tuesday night when you bare in mind that it's Valentine's Day after a Saturday game and also when it's cold and easier to stay at home and watch the champions league ! Top support as always!!!!! UTG !!!!!!

Great game with both sides looking to win. Our defence was brilliant and frustrated the Utd attack Partington Sweeney and Lumley are just what we needed Garnet should have scored when he only had the keeper to beat. Shame his goal was ruled offside which he was Happy with the result UTG

Best 0_0 I have ever seen. Rovers a revelation after the substitutions. Thought Montano was superb and suddenly they looked under the cosh. Could only see one team winning that in the laSt fifteen minutes. True Gaffney could have done better with his one on one with the keeper.Having said that having knocked the ball past the keeper, from my position the keepers legs definitely caught gaffers and brought him down. I personally thought it was a penalty and a sending off as the keeper was clearly the last man and got nothing off the ball.
