Should be interesting. Labour have held Stoke for something like 80 years. As the Opposition Party, it's impossible to think they could lose it, as usually, in By-Elections the Opposition normally do well against the standing Government.
My predictions?
Stoke - UKIP win Copeland - Tory win.
If those results were to happen then I dread to think what will happen within the Labour Party.

I still think it means a lot of grief within the Labour Party.

The first time a sitting Government has gained a seat since 1982 (Tory win in Copeland) Copeland was number 30 on the Tory hit-list....Just have a little think about that statistic! Stoke Central - A turn-out of 38% indicates that the area has lost all faith in ANY politicians.
Without Farage, UKIP seem to be losing their way. Labout are just withering away. The Tories will romp any General Election without having to really try.
Sad times for British politics.

In fact, millions of people in the UK know that.............So why don't the vast majority of the Labour MP's do something about it? They are heading for electoral oblivion. The Labour Party has been hi-jacked by the Far-Left (Momentum).

It seems to me as though they have to accept that the old Labour Party has gone. Momentum/Militant are just using the party name, funds and structures. Is it time for 'Real Labour' to stand up? It will split their vote for a while, but if nothing changes they'll be extinct. Their other problem is that there doesn't appear to be anyone to lead them. Maybe Dan Jarvis?

The problem is, his seat is a nice comfortable floral affair with built in slippers and a cup of cocoa. If Labour want a chance, any chance, of ousting the Tories, he's gotta go. How? Goodness knows.

For example, Dianne Abbott as the Shadow Home Secretary is an absolute joke! Also, look at the other wasters he's surrounded himself with. Even if you get rid of Corbyn, the rest of his Shadow Government are just mind numbingly bad. The other problem, is because of the voting structure, if they got rid of him he'll only be replaced by another Communist/Marxist.

I suspect Corbyn would stand down but is being kept there by the likes of McDonnell and Len McClusky because they know that if he did then their preferred candidate would not get sufficient backing this time. Corbyn is their only way of retaking the Labour Party to the far left, that is if the proposed boundary changes don't allow Momentum to shoehorn in their own candidates upon reselection.
The Far Left need to be seen to lose the next General Election otherwise they will simply say they had been betrayed, just look at some of the excuses being made today such as blaming the media for fake news.
As things stand, the Conservatives will have to make one almighty mess to lose the next election and probably not even then.
Labour's best hope in my opinion is to lose in 2020 and show the likes of McDonnell and co that they can't win. Still not sure who could take over though, Dan Jarvis is a good shout but not sure he would actually want it.
