Interesting but...........I would have waited for more facts to come out, in time most of this stuff might just pay off, Wycombe might have to pay us comp and Sainsbury might have to buy the Mem. Well written as always though.

If someone's wife told them as much bollocks as what Higgs has told is over the years (Cheltenham, Stuart Campbell's a liar, review, uwe timescales, no reason we can't build etc etc) then you'd have told her F off years ago!
Said before all this latest fiasco that the guy is just so difficult to like, and honestly I've tried to like the bloke and be sympathetic to his cause but Jesus wept, how much crap are one set of fans supposed to take?

My biggest ever gripe with Nick Higgs is his bullheaded inability to delegate and his point blank refusal to get others involved who may have known better or had better & more concise ways of doing things. I'll give you an example. When I was a young salesman, I had a particular prospective customer who would just never buy the product I was selling at the time, even though our product was better specified and more competitively priced. I could not understand what I was not doing to seal the deal then it hit me, it was ME that was the problem. I called our Northern area manager & asked him to give the guy a go. The guy then signed the paperwork and we had a customer who bought in excess of 2 million pounds of product per annum. Sometimes it needs another face and this is the lesson that Mr Higgs seems either unable to accept or refuses to contemplate.

The worst bosses tend to be the ones who take everything on themselves and refuse to trust others or delegate. It means they can't give their full attention to everything. I think our losing our league status was because Mr Higgs was so focused on a new stadium he took his eye off the ball as far as the team was concerned

Seems the fans have so much more passion, ideas, loyalty and genuine love for the club than the board.Re the Cheltenham fiasco mentioned above, the excuse then was 'The RECESSION'which in truth would have made builders even more keen to get the job.Now wev'e been told we can't move half way through the season so its been delayed(prior to the 'Sainsburys' story breaking) wheras if the funding had been in place why not just get on and build it!Like poiticians who sometimes promise the earth, surely no-one believes it anymore.I really am dismayed at our lack of leadership and direction as a club which Iv'e followed since the fifties.Feel for DC.Everything is on his shoulders.Really don't know why we are drowning in a sea of mediocrity.Enjoyed Monday.Better than Torquay at home last year and hearing how Tranmere fans really rate Eliot is just one illustation of our weird decision making.Didn't realise Danny Woodards is also at Tranmere but anyway will be a good game on Sat which might lift the spirits I E Mailed the club over the Wycombe situation and they replied saying there was no news yet!!!!!!!Either it's died a death or a major enquiry will result in a major story!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please BRFC -Show us some direction and leadership.Even my City mates feel sorry for me now.

It seems NH, and the fans, were let down by JW who clearly messed up during the January transfer window, then gave DC a suicide path with 8 games to go by deciding he fancied the DOF role.

What a convenient scapegoat John Ward has become. It's a bit of a paradox that Nick Higgs thought JW managed the playing side so well that he didn't need to take any notice of it, then when we got relegated he was quick to shift all of the blame onto the former manager. Surely, if JW was making as much a mess of things as Higgs claims he would have been removed from the post earlier. It actually backs up my case that he had so little interest in the playing side that he didn't realise until the season was over that mistakes were being made (Still the biggest mistake to my mind was booting JW upstairs with eight games to go, making him DoF "responsible for the smooth transition to the UWE" even though at that time Higgs knew there was a problem with Sainsbury's and the UWE might not even happen)

Assuming NH was telling the truth(!) to 20men he suggested that JW approached him with 8 games to go and suggested he wanted to move up to DOF, apparently suggesting the club was then safe from relegation and DC was ready to take over. The fact JW became DOF and wasn't sacked suggests that version might just be correct.

The thing is we've only got Highs word that the JW handover situation is as stated, JW is too much of a gentleman to publicly deny this. When NH first came out with this I believed him, do I believe him now? Not so sure, never been anti NH by any means but tbh everything that comes out of his mouth has to be taken with a huge pinch of salt. The man tells porkies!
