Not going into details but I wrote the gaffer a letter 'bout a month ago. Actually got a reply this week. There will be posters on here that may familiar with my posts, who know that I have NEVER said anything negative about my beloved Bristol Rovers, be it staff, players anything I just can't. Same way that some of you are. Anyway, in DC's extremely kind reply he signed off with words that filled me with pride, hope, optimism and excitement. It's impossible to love him anymore than I do. We are so lucky. Anything is achievable with DC in charge. He is our leader and don't it make my brown eyes blue. UTG! You want his babies don't you.

It's pathetic. How on earth will they cope with their continued decline? If they're boycotting games in the Championship and are fully expecting to only have crowds of 10000 in L1, how many will they have against Solihull Moors?

Loved a post on Hugh Honey above. Clicked on it.
He posted 'saw DC in town and I called him a lady garden. He replied ' see you next year'.
Brilliant.

if/when they are relegated and we' re to go back up they'd all be having a circle jerk telling us how great they are and how lucky they are to have SL. Fickle as f**k. The entire thread is an embarrassment.

Amazing how some 'big' clubs seem to go into serial decline even when money is thrown at the problem and the underlying issues of mismanagement never sorted out. Villa Coventry Bolton Charlton Portsmouth and Blackpool for example. City have been there before plummeting in record speed to the 4th division. Nothing beyond nothing is to say this couldn't happen with or without SL and the way the club is currently being managed.

What did he sign off with? Did you read the message? Yeah only just got a chance to reply. What a reply. The guy is in it for the long haul and has ambitions to take us places! Cheers for sending it across.

What's hilarious is they are calling for a fans boycott v Huddersfield. They say the game is live on Sky anyway and give a clear message to SL. Think it will give a clear message to all that the library is a joke anyway and it would be so funny if we got more at home than they did in our home game after all their watertakes over our sell out attendances

The thing is, just when you think it's impossible to love/admire/respect him any more than you already do - he does or says something which sends it up another notch.

Nothing beyond nothing is to say this couldn't happen with or without SL and the way the club is currently being managed. That's part of the reason it's so mental when some people freak out about minor selection decisions. Running a club is massive, and a good manager will want to affect things in all parts of the club, and a good manager will manage to do that. Obviously loads of other people have input and influence, but our case, for one, makes it pretty clear just what an affect in all areas a manager can have. A few years ago one could see where our terminal decline was gonna stop. But often, day to day, the only sort of clue we get to the health of the club is what happens during a match. And the only tangible thing about that is the team selection. So we have a manager helping to improve all aspects of the club, working constantly on the job in hand, making who knows how many decisions, and dealing with stuff we don;t have a clue about, and then come saturday we just get on the forum and elsewhere: OMG532WTF???, and similar stuff.
