Not a great spectacle today but isn't that what good teams do ? If you can grind out results when you don't play so well that has to be a good thing. If we could have done the same away from home maybe the play offs wouldn't be such a long shot. Looked solid again today Lumley & the back 4 all had good games Leadbitter mom for me.

Just worked it out, and I believe we are now safe from relegation. Technically we need one more point. We will finish above Coventry,Chesterfield and Swindon. However, we have 60pts and Gillingham and Oldham each have 45pts so if they win their 5 remaining games they will also have 60pts. Afaict, Gills, Bury, Oldham and Shrews all have to pick up max points, but Gills, Bury and Shrews all play Northampton, and if they all win that game, then Northampton will only finish on 57 points. Maybe.

He had a fairly good game today and his athleticism is outstanding, but his final ball lets him down. There were times in the game when he could of taken a second touch, instead of just hitting his cross over. He just needs a bit more composure.

I lost count at the amount of lofted balls we put in the box. I'm praying for someone to really put a ball in with pace. It asks a lot of the forwards to generate their own power.
Think DC was a bit nice post match. Lethargic and sloppy but 3 points is 3 points.
Also I thought their forward (Tyler Roberts) in the first half was decent. Similar to fortune at Southend I don't understand opposition managers!

Just worked it out, and I believe we are now safe from relegation. When you consider how many teams bellow us still need to play each other, we were probably safe last week.

I thought the ref did us a couple of favours today. The sending off and the penalty both looked like dubious decisions. Anyone in the Thatchers get a good view of the foul for the pen?

How long is Bodins deal? Get him signed up and pay him what he wants.

I'll tell you what, that was a better finish for Bodins second than I remember. We really do need to keep hold of him.

That has got to be the softest sending off i have ever seen. The Shrewsbury striker just makes a genuine challenge for the ball (which he is entitled to). Shocking really but these things even themselves out over a season ...i suppose ?

2 very soft yellow cards.
Shrewsbury probably hard done by, but they were utter sh**e.
We comfortably won even though we were water poor ourselves.

I don't think we were water poor I thought we looked average league 1 where as we normally look a top league 1 side at home. If only we could look like more than a water poor league 1 side away.

In the modern game of football - the sending off was a yellow for diving in (both feet eventually touched the keeper!) and the push for the peno was a gimme! You can't push someone over in the box and get away with it!
The ref was garbage - we've had him before - I'll bet he's never played the game in his life! He is also over-weight and unable to keep up!
Shrews were crap - along with Coventry and Chesterfield - on their way down!
Taylor's miss is nothing new! Under pressure and crumbling!!!

Did the ref even award a free kick before Brown's reaction, as far as the pen the challenge on James last week at Coventry was far worse.
I doubt the refs decisions changed the result today but he did Shrewsbury no favours.
Surely it's time to start Easter ahead of James, as the latter seems to have lost his way lately, even if he was unlucky again with his shot which hit the post.

My biggest gripe with Shrewsbury is how they would switch off every time the ball went dead. They were so poor at reorganising and just left themselves open time and again.

We barely created anything for most of the game, despite looking reasonably comfortable. The ref created our best chance of the game.

A frustrated player who knows he's failing miserably and that thousands of gasheads are laughing at every sitter he misses. A sh*thead told me yesterday they fully believe he was bought just to hinder us and that he'll be sold at the end of the season as he's just not cutting it.
