After missing the first couple of home games of the season due to attending a beer festival and a music festival, I am now in the position to return to the Mem for the Halifax game. How was it returning to the Mem for the first time, after that fateful day in May? I feel some trepidation

1st game against Grimsby felt more like a league 2 game,Telford did bring it home we are now in the Conference!

It's a game of football at the Mem. Nothing to fear.
Get in and cheer the boys on!

Echoing previous comments I think Grimsby felt and looked like a league two standard game. Although the Telford game certainly hit home that we had reached the conference.

With the Grimsby game, I managed to record it and avoid the result completely for four and a half days.
I was extremely militant that anyone I encountered who even remotely likes football couldn't give me any indication of the result, even a wry smile from someone would result in me thinking 'brilliant we won 3-0 with a Sinclair hat-trick'...cue after watching the game lots of people telling me that they wish they could of stopped me watching the game.
Always much more exciting without knowing the score!

At least Halifax will have a go and make it a game. Telford were a joke.

Not that I watch often but when I did I had to avoid talking about it all day at work. Although not using the internet to avoid the score was harder. I thought that was bad enough. A couple of times I've recorded stuff and got home. My missus said " It recorded OK, but I don't think you'll like watching it"

Yeah I hate that. I don't want to know a single thing, even if it is a sh**e game (though I probably know it will be involving the Gas). I had to record the FGR game as well but didn't manage to avoid that one as my discipline wasn't very good. It was certainly a damp squid seeing us go 1 nil up!
