The guy isn't a WUM or a shithead, just very bad at asking questions.
We need the new stadium so we can generate non-matchday revenue.
Why we don't sell out is anyone's guess.

Well, that escalated quickly.
Please just ignore WUMs rather than insulting them.

Poor facilities, lack of decent seating (most don't want to stand these days!), poor parking/access. It's often very difficult to buy 2 seats together at the Mem these days. Believe me, I've tried!

So we can survive in the championship
So we can stop chucking money on a delapidated stadium
So we can have a half time slash without standing in up to half a foots worth of urine.

Buying tickets online is torturous in general. We don't do many deals to boost attendance either. When we did bring a mate against Fleetwood it was such a ballache to sort it out I would consider not bothering next time. In defence of the mem when I've brought friends along and stood on the blackthorn with them they have loved it. Bit of an old school feel with some funny shouts. I'm sure the 4/5 pubs en route helped!

I'm willing to bet that a few beers were on board last night when this was posted? Or perhaps I'm being to kind, im all for debate and a bit of banter but this is just plain stupid and an insult to this forum!

Please no, don't take it seriously. This is WUM and a 82 head.
It shouldn't be taken seriously. The only person taking it seriously is BBs mother.

He's right we should stay in a run down ground and never aim higher because we don't sell out. Just like Brighton and Swansea did oh and Huddersfield

Almost at the same time someone by the name of Blueiris on the IF starts a thread asking why build the UWE as our crowds don't justify the capacity. Coincidence?
In terms of the question, there is not a great scope in headroom to make significant discounts on ticket sales both in underwriting the costs via other revenue streams or the space in the ground. Our average is 9k with a 12k capacity but can get 10k+ so little room for new people without having to introduce all ticket matches on safety grounds.
As for the "low" crowds compared with City, in my view both clubs have consistent attendances in the time I have followed football, us having 5-7k and them with 9-12k over that time. There are blips on the way for both teams, but I suspect their ground being better suited to non match day revenue generation helps. Hence we need a better ground.
Circular argument.

Blueiris is still distressed that someone might've sat in his seat on Saturday
