Lumley 7.0 kept competently with 1 good save in 2nd half Partington 5.5 composed at times but not tight enough on winger for crosses Lockyer 7.0 mom composed as ever Sweeney 6.5 solid as usual Harris 5.5 reasonable Bodin 5.5 ok first half but faded in second half Sinclair 5.5 ran around as usual Lines 5.5 still not anywhere near his best Montano 5.5 faded in and out until his usual inevitable substitution James 3.5 not one of his better games Harrison 4.5 generally poor extra point for his goal subs Moore 4.0 fluffed 1 good chance Easter 4.5 ok but didn't make major improvement to side Broom 5.0 stuck to his task well at full back
Ref 6.0 average Crowd 6.0 not much to get excited about Oldham 6.0 defended ok but not much up front
Poor performance by Rovers 1st half ( I thought they were on holiday already )2nd half marginally better

Lumley 7 Steady as you like Partington 7 Looks a decent player Sweeney 8.5 Immense Lockyer 7.5 Been playing well recently Harris 7.5 Thought he looked useful today Lines 7 Needs to play more forward than he does, no threat in front of his back 4 Sinclair 6.5 Always sideways with Stu Montano 6.5 Flatters to deceive Bodin 6.5 always a threat but not for 90 minutes Harrison 6.5 You got to play for more than 10 minutes in a game James 6 Ineffective
Easter 6.5 not much to say average. Moore 6.5 flashes of technique Broom 6.5 Did ok
Ref 7 One of the better ones Oldham 6 Knocked the ball around well but no real threat D.C. 7 Got tactics right putting pressure on later in the game when they tired
Not a game for the scrapbook but we ground out a win and sometimes you have to do that. Still had a very end of season feel about it. Think we are kidding ourselves if we think we should be in the play offs. Saying that we are having a cracking season well done to D.C. and the lads. Needs to make some tough decisions over the summer so we can improve further. UTG.

Lumley 7 did what he had to well Partington 5.5 in and out performance, not so good going forward Lockyer 8 solid and came out with the ball better from the back Sweeney 7 another solid display in the air Harris 6.5 looks a good player with the ball Bodin 6 things didn't come off for him today, but still looked most likely to score till Ellis popped up Sinclair 5.5 usual effort Lines 6 to many floated passes but still our best midfielder Montano 5 not his best display James 4 poor Harrison 5.5 poor up until he scored, some good defensive headers and one good tackle Subs: Moore 5.5 bit better than Monty Easter 6 used his strength well to hold the ball but no goal threat Broom 6 got forward better than Partington Crowd 7 Ref 5 Oldham 5 played better than at their place, but still poor up front

Lumley. 7 little to do but did it with authority Parting line. 5 looked rusty and indecisive Lockyer. 7.5 solid performance Sweeney. 7. Let opportunities to a minimum Harris. 4 very poor in attack and defence Bodin. 5.5 overdid the trying to do it all on his own instead of using a simple pass Sinclair. 4.5 all i can say is he ran around a lot Montana. 5.5 worked hard with little success James. 4 if he is the answer god knows what the question is Harrison. 7 made numerous important defensive headers plus 2 blocks on the post as player cutting in plus great turn and shot to win the game
Easter. 6 looked Sharpe and aware Moore. 5 indifferent performance Broom. 6 an improvement at right back
Ref. 4. How did he miss the clear chopping down of Harrison in the first half and the keeper carrying the ball out of his area

Lumley 7 Oldham not good enough to challenge him to a 8+
Partington 5 Seems to have time on the ball but not as good getting forward has Leads, not as good in defene has JC Lockyer 8 Pick of the defence Sweeney 7.5 Solid Harris 5.5 Won't keep Brown out
Bodin 6.5 Oldham were up to his tricks Sinclair 7 Best of the midfield, took a yellow to save a Oldham break Lines 6.5 Did ok, outlets were not not there for him Montano 6 No real link up with Harris
James 4 Made little impression Harrison 5 Goal gives him extra mark
Subs: Moore 6 Easter 6 All three were an improvement Broom 6
Crowd 5 Decent numbers but bored into silence Ref 5 Nit Picky Conference Class Oldham 6 Typical lower half L1, play it neat and tidy but no firepower. Seem to remember tougher opponents in L2 and even the Conference.

Lumley 6 Not a lot to do other than the great save at his near post 2nd half. Partington 6 Looks a tidy player. Lockyer 7 Sweeney 7 Need to get him back next season. Harris 6
Bodin 5.5 Saw a lot more of the ball than usual, but didn't use it as well as normal. Sinclair 6 Lines 5.5 Montano 5.5
James 3 Harrison 7 MOM Lovely finish when it seemed nothing was on. Vital defensive work when Oldham were pushing.
Subs: Moore 5 Won't be here next season. Easter 6 How is James better than him? Broom 6 Promising young player.
Crowd 3 Flat. Understandably so seeing as our season will now fizzle out. Ref 5 Meh Oldham 5. Can see why they have only scored 30 goals all season. W@nk up front but solid at the back. Top 10 side if they could score.

Lumley 7 one good save but generally a quiet afternoon Partington 6.5 theres a good player there but due to lack of game time looks a bil ring rusty Lockyer 8 M.o.M. a good confident game Sweeney 7 a couple of dodgy headers but generally sound Harris 6 good on the ball but gave his winger too much room off the ball, a decent undertsudy to Browner Bodin 7 lively, with a bit more luck he could have got a couple of goals Sinclair 7 worked his socks off Lines 7 decent but missing Olly Clarke Montano 6.5 average game James 6 worked hard but never looked like scoring Harrison 6.5 good goal, some decent defensive work but well marshalled by the Oldham defence Subs: Moore 5 Monty was better Easter 6.5 the usual good cameo display Broom 6.5 a promising show, he's a very good prospect Crowd 7 good turn out Ref 6 decent Oldham 6 punchless, came for a point, but knocked the ball around quite well' seen far worse this season

Lumley 7 So solid and composed
Partington 6 I think he's still finding his form...more to come methinks Lockyer 8 Best distribution I've seen from him Sweeney 7.5 Real Ashford & Simpson Harris 6 Ok.......
Bodin 5.5 Nothing really worked for him today; good effort though Sinclair 6 Usual Tasmanian Devil routine........not MoM though Lines 8 Really tried to influence the match. Continual effort Montano 7 The fall-guy...need someone to take off, I know, Moore on for Montano.
James 5 The new Chris Beardsley Harrison 6.5 Bluddy bluddy frustrating.......cracking goal though........
Subs: Moore 6 Easter 6 Broom 6
Crowd 7 Ref 6 Oldham 6

Lumley 7 - looked in control. One good save.
Partington 6 - did ok Lockyer 8 - rock solid and better distribution than usual Sweeney 7 - solid game Harris 6.5 - good performance
Bodin 6.5 - not one of his best games but the classiest player on the pitch Sinclair 6 - lots of effort but too many sideways or backward balls Lines 6.5 - almost a good performance. Lots of the ball but not as effective as can be Montano 5.5 - looked good on a couple of occasions but can do a lot better
James 4 - just very ineffective Harrison 6 - was going to get a 4 until the goal which was very well taken. Followed up by brilliant goal saving last ditch tackle and some good defensive headers. His contribution was ultimately the difference between the two teams.
Subs: Moore 5.5 - similar to Montano Easter 5 - did not really add anything when he came on. Broom 6 - did ok
Crowd 6 - a bit quiet Ref 7 Oldham 6 - had lots of possession but I never felt that they would score

Lumley 6.5 Parts 6 Sweeney 6.5 Lockyer 7 Harris 6 Bodin 6.5 Monty 5.5 Lines 6 Sincs 6.5 Harrison 7 James 2
Easter 6 Moore 3 Broom 6.5
End of season snoozer won by the only bright bit of play in the entire game. A goal to remember in a game to forget.
Went for Ellis over Lockyer, despite Tom playing well all game. Strikers are there to excite and score. Harrison is our only player other than Bodin capable of doing either.

Results in and Tom Lockyer was MotM for the third game in a row with a score of 7.50. This was the xth time a player has scored a hat-trick of MotMs. The others in order are Trotman, Parkes, Harrison and Lines in the Conference, Lockyer, Gaffney* and Bodin in League Two and Ollie Clarke who did four in a row earlier this season. *Gaffney's came in non-consecutive games over the period when he briefly returned to Cambridge after his loan spell. By my records this starting line-up contained only four players who played for Rovers in the Conference, the lowest number it has been all season. The starting XI also contained only six players from last season, another season low. Results from the Gillingham game are also now up link: hereLumley 7.0 Partington 6.1 Lockyer 7.5Sweeney 7.1 Harris 6.2 Bodin 6.3 Sinclair 6.0 Lines 6.3 Montano 5.9 James 4.6 Harrison 6.0 Subs: Moore 5.2 Easter 6.0 Broom 6.1 Crowd 5.8 Ref 5.9 Oldham 5.5

Loving Lockyer's resurgence in form over the second half of the season.
Firstly it shows how he has stood up and been counted as captain. It's great to see that he has added to his game by becoming more comfortable in bringing the ball out and looking to get involved at the other end of the pitch. He is becoming much more of a leader of men. Something some on here said he couldn't learn.
Secondly it shows how keeping faith in talented players when they go through a rough patch pays dividends. Loads of forumites wanted him dropped/rested earlier in the season. He has shown yet again that he learns quickly on the job. Well done, Tom!
