Ollie Clarke was a double winner today as he picked up the Bristol Rovers Player of the Year Award from Bristol Rovers Supporters Club and the Bristol Rovers Presidents Club. The midfielder has, arguably, been in the best form of his career this season and has scored four goals in 36 games in all competitions. The Supporters Young Player of the Year Award went to skipper Tom Lockyer, while Chris Lines picked up an award for Goal of the Season. The Presidents Club Young Player of the Year Award was won by Ryan Sweeney. Luke Russe collected the award for Youth Team player of the year. The awards were presented at the end of this morning's open training session at The Mem and photos of the players collecting their awards will be posted later this afternoon Read more at www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/ollie-clarke-voted-supporters-club-player-of-the-year-3684090.aspx#ECi67zA8WroxCBw1.99Well done Ollie! Been oustanding all season. Might be over doing a little don't you think? He's certainly come on a lot and deserves a credit for stepping up to League One level. I find it surprising that the awards didn't go to Billy B personally, he would be my choice.

For me he would have to get more than 4 goals and 0 assists to go into the brilliant category but each to their own.

good day at open training today, it's all about the kids and yet again everyone at the mem from management, owners, players were all there with an absolutely spot-on approach.... well done rovers.... as for the training.... well, i saw Luke James hit the net, actually well taken. i also witnessed a sublime gaffers back heel.... incredible.... i saw rovers V rovers which we won 1 nil due to a well taken slowly placed shot by monty.... but today I witnessed the mother of all skills.... forget Hugo Sanchez overhead kicks forget the cruyff turn forget Ronaldo's step overs forget zidanes marsielle turn today I saw something much greater Steve mildenhall has the ability to sign autographs whilst wearing goalk eeper gloves.... absolutely amazing

I bet it is pretty rare for a Club Captain to win YOUNG player of the year. Did Parkesy do it as well?

Who needs a regular scoring glory hunter eh? Another one in the mold of the Snake and would do the exact same thing if offered Most players would. He's not Bristolian either so why would he turn down four times as much money ? I charge £150 a day but if somebody offered me £600 a day I'd be off like shot.
