Promising young player who has failed to live up to expectations of others, maybe he should have stayed here

Promising young player who has failed to live up to expectations of others, maybe he should have stayed here I bet Tom Parkes is thinking exactly the same thing. Him that is not Santos, ha.

Thought he was overrated when he was with us. Surprised he got that move. If his name was Dave Smith and was born in Stroud Derby wouldn't of been interested.

Was stunned when both Hull and Derby were interested in the first place, his name and being Brazilian gave some impression that he had flair and more ability.
Always thought he looked lost, never got balls into the box and seemed to always check back if actually managed to beat a full back then get tackled at second time of asking! For me he was a poor mans Ben Swallow - and he was majorly overrated whilst here IMO. Suspect Alefe will end up doing the local non-league circuit in similar fashion, though could be proved wrong.... either way can't see him getting a league team for next season without stepping down a few levels and putting some performances in.

Can he cross a ball and keep it in play yet?
Wait...just checked his wiki, seems he has improved; Santos describes himself as "a very direct player who likes to run at the full-back and get crosses in and create chances for the team".

And I describe myself as, "looking like Brad Pitt, and with a nob like Ron Jeremy."

Perhaps he can reinvent himself in the Scandinavian countries where his English Football pedigree and Brazilian heritage would go down very well. If not the lad is likely to face the perils of National League South/North in my opinion.

If there was room for 2 new wingers yes. I don't think he will be the left winger DC wants, but Alefe can use both feet, play on both wings and he scored some great goals for the youth team.

Derby did extend his contract, so they obviously thought he was worth persevering with at that time. Think it's a bit unfair to make out that he's the West Country equivalent of George Weah's cousin!

Alefe Santos,to lightweight he would keel over like a sapling in a hurricane, will he come back to the club, possible but unlikely, it's like asking a man to run from the centre up to the top of Park Street carrying a bucket of water in one hand, and a suitcase full of bricks in the other, possible but unlikely.
