Both are totally irrelevant to the club pushing on next season .... hope they both make room for far better players.

I can't see Ellis getting a better deal elsewhere. Hasn't scored enough this season to get a pay rise at another club.
I wonder if we've offered reduced terms (hopefully) and he's seeing if he can do better.

Most likely the same terms so we can get a transfer fee if he signs for another club, not sure if that means the offer can't be time limited or not, if not, he could spend all summer looking for a better deal before signing his contract if he can't. As regards Kilgore isn't he out injured anyway?

Ok, he hasn't made an impact on the first team yet, but something was seen in him to sign him on pro terms at a very early age not that long ago and he has been injured since just before Christmas. Do you work on the basis, not seen him play yet so must be irrelevant? If so, go watch the non first team games and you might know who is a good prospect is and who is not!

It's a good job DC is level headed and doesn't listen to fans , he would of torn the squad apart a long time ago.

Ellis still has plenty to offer at this level, that's why DC has offered him another deal.

Or perhaps it's because he doesn't want to lose him on a free if he doesn't offer him a deal, the fact EH hasn't signed it yet suggests he might feel he can better it elsewhere.

Ellis still has plenty to offer at this level, that's why DC has offered him another deal. Very true and DC himself said other clubs were taking an interest in Ellis and Gaffers. If Ellis did take another offer then we would be due compensation as he's under 24 and the thought of paying say £50k to £100k in compensation might put some clubs off making him an offer.

What makes you think I haven't seen him play .... I've been up to see the Reserves play a few times .... I'm the guy with the fold up chair sat watching quietly . Both of the players are L2 at best ... There are way better younger players who have already made an impact ... how long do you want to wait for him to mature into the first team.

Well perhaps let him recover from injury and play a few games (for reserves or first team or whoever)
