Karl Oyston was removed from the Blackpool FC board by receivers yesterday. This following many years of controversy, including having been found to be “illegitimately stripping” the club. Blackpool Supporter Joe Atherton joined Harley Thorne for the latest episode of our build up series, to run us through just how bad it’s been for Blackpool under Oysten ownership. gas-cast.co.uk/blog/podcast/build-up-blackpool-h-ft-joe-atherton/

On top of this issue over overhitting set pieces/going for back post - why oh why oh why from kick off do we lump it out every single time for the opposition throw in. We've done this since the Trollope era, it's never worked once. I don't even understand what we're trying to do. Even if we get a head on it, where are we going? Just throwing away possession constantly It used to work when it was out to Monkhouse on the left

I am struggling to understand why some supporters of BRFC continuing to protest when there is a Wembley final possibility. Whilst there were games that involved under 23 teams I understand why some dont like it, but they are all out of the competition. If you had only boycotted the under 23 games and attended the rest then the protest would have been more targeted at the games and teams you believe have no right to be in the competition, I get your point, I really do, but I do think that handing OUR stadium over to away supporters, which will happen if Sunderland fans turn up in force, to out number the Gasheads, is totally out of order. Our manager has said that he wants the supporters to get right behind the team as they DO make a difference. That "difference" will be missing and could effect the result. If you are happy with that then its very dissapointing especially as OUR club, who definatly need the money, will miss out on the money a Wembley final would bring in. I wonder how many protesters will be following the game? I wonder how many supporters will miss out on a great day out if and when we suceed in geting to Wembley but will follow the game on the TV or radio. For that game you will be a follower not a supporter. Harsh I know but thats how I see it. Rant over. I'll get my coat Because the EFL are using attendances (especially in the latter rounds) as evidence that the new format is a success. Each to thier own, but I won't be supporting this competition in any capacity as long as the U23s are a part of it. It will be a difficult descision for a lot of people if we did get to Wembley. I'll hate to miss it, but I'll be sticking with my principles.

This guy used to own the New Orleans Riverboat Gamblers which I thought was one of the worst names in sport, until the New Orleans Zephyrs, which he also used to own, changed their name to the New Orleans Baby Cakes. Looking forward to Yeovil's amusing name change. The Yeovil inbreds?

You have to remember that Wael did say that the UWE was 'too far out of town". I can't imagine he was bullsh1tting. Blimey don't know where there's available land any closer to the centre of Bristol then ! Netham playing fields is the only place I can think of close to town with enough space. Even then it's an odd shape for a stadium site and no chance of getting cars in and out. Realistically this is gunna be out of town somewhere

Since being on the board of the Football League Harvey has been involved in the dilution of the Football League Trophy and overseen the Football Leagues first betting company sponsorship. Good riddance. This

More revenue for the club while the pitch isn't in use over the summer. Plus potentially some money behind the bar too. As long as the pitch can handle it then I'm all for it Not sure I agree. This is a professional football club we are running , not a leisure centre. Are we so desperate for cash we need to hire the first team playing surface out? Surely utilising the bars by having some events would be better. Yes we are desperate for money is the answer there

I agree. I'm hoping that regular forums can help keep the boards feet to the fire on those issues Well done for your efforts. Too much to ask for !? but, I think the Board (a member) and Owner both need to be there or you just end up walking away - confused, without any real answers, etc etc Yeah my dream lineup would be: Wael - Starnes - Hamer Maters - Coughlan

Fingers crossed I can make some headway. I think some basic communication isn't asking too much, but if it was that easy it would have been done already! Tommy, "basic communication" between club and supporters is a good thing, BUT what the fanbase that is BRFC really want to know is Training ground - have you built it ? no ? Why not ? What happens next and when ? Stadium - are we redeveloping The Mem ? yes ! When does it start ? Which stand first ? no ! New stadium being planned ? Where ? land purchased ? As Pirate49 raised a while ago - What is the owners' vision for the club and the expected timeline to realise it ?
I agree. I'm hoping that regular forums can help keep the boards feet to the fire on those issues
