Blimey I hope he's being paid well given that formidable list of tasks to sort out.
Best of luck Jack.

Far too early to write off anything. Promotion or perish the thought relegation. We were a totally different side last season after Christmas and we are closer to the playoffs now than we were then. A few reinforcements at the back and it's still within reach. And I'm not a happy clapper.

Just really thrown by that one to be honest. Been going 29 years, wouldn’t expect anyone be it players, staff, board members, SC staff, bar staff etc..to know who I am. Why should they😂 What's that got to do with putting cash in your wallet to cover a few pints? To be fair your reply to him had absolutely nothing to do with what he'd just said. Think you replied to the wrong post earlier with your £20 comment?

No, you're summary is wrong so confusing things further. Home games are on Radio Bristol (normal radio 94.9FM etc) Away games are not on Radio Bristol (normal radio) but you can access them on Radio Bristol if you have a DAB radio. All of the above is in contrast to where away games used to be on Radio Bristol (normal Radio 94.9fm etc) but apparently now are not which is why the thread was started in the first place. I never listen to home games on the radio so unaware these are now on normal radio (94.9fm etc). My worry was they were playing all City games on normal FM radio, if they are not as now explained to me in this thread then all is good and I have now established how they are doing the home and away games on the radio as a casual listener. No complaints, no drama. I wonder why and when it changed? I always listen to Rovers on Radio Bristol if I'm not at the game, so I got a DAB radio. I just assumed the choice between FM and DAB had become random this season, but apparently not. This is a thread for randomly attacking GGMI, not for asking sensible questions. Please get back on topic.

I don't see why the club can't say discussions are still ongoing, if they are. I think the club has, if not a duty, a responsibility to its fans. I mean Wael has already said we're talking about the FM stadium, so he won't be saying anything new. That was a long, long time ago, of course.
I think by now it's safe to assume nothing at all has happened, or we would have been fed snippets. Or they would have leaked.
Maybe it will yet rise from its coma. Can't rule anything out until it's been ruled out. Not holding my breath though.

You should try living just the wrong side of Chippenham. Radio Bristol a non starter. Might as well be outer Mongolia. Radio Wiltshire broadcasts only news about crop harvesting and the best way to de-flea your cattle.

I don't listen to games on Raido Bristol very often but recently I have had that as an only choice a couple of times. To my dismay City have been on their both times. Why did this change and why? It used to be that whoever was away would have their game on Radio Bristol. It is disgusting that them lot are being put on their instead every week. It's hard enough trying to get media attention and gain any new fans etc as it is. It's because they're massive. All change next season when we swap places.

Going to a vegan friendly cafe in Thornbury called Hawkes House next week where they do an apparently sensational banana blossom 'fish' and chips.

When was this published? Is it a new document or something older? I ask because the website's last update was June 2020. I couldn't find any reference to it on the website earlier and if you enter "stadium" in the search box then nothing is found, hopefully it's not a photo shopped document. Although there is a recent newsletter uploaded dated December 2022 so that part the website has been update recently. You are correct (although it says October to me), but the links crash. Or they do on my Nokia 3310. Edit: found it. Hopefully good news

In the New Year the council will be consulting on a development framework for the Temple Meads Enterprise Zone. Below is the St Phillips Marsh area. As can be seen, area 2 which includes the Fruit Market, is zoned to include a potential new sports stadium. Will the cash strapped council be building one? Absolutely not, especially in a two club city. We can probably conclude that informal talks have taken place, and any developer wishing to provide a stadium will be pushing at an open door. However, this is where we get to our perennial problem. We need both land and finance. We have never managed to achieve both, as the partner providing one or the other, has always failed to deliver. When was this published? Is it a new document or something older? I ask because the website's last update was June 2020.

I think if the club had said it was dead in the water when it was two years ago it would have quite a demoralising effect. When I knew it was not happening it certainly effected my views. Better to let it drift on as a possible rather than bring the issue to a head when the owner didn't feel he was in a financial position to make the next move You knww it wasn't happening 2 years ago? Really. And I'll ask again, how did it suit the Club? You honestly can't see how it would be convenient for Wael to just keep schtum rather than release some rather unfortunate news?

Carry on playing until someone scores, but each team takes one player off every 10 mins. Or adds one on.....

Something to sight lines from existing seats I believe. Possibly issues finding space to build those stands, would need turnstiles etc moving back, then how is access given to the existing terraces. Just for starters. The sightlines argument doesn't apply to a stand set back from the terrace and the same height as the main stand. The other things are, frankly, trivial. If those were actually issues nothing would ever be built. Which of course, it hasn't been.

I'd post a photo of what I mean but I don't know how 🙈 This is Carlisle's. Don't know why we can't replicate this for the East Stand, apart from cost of course.

Just seen the crowd was about 12150 or so. With 1139 rovers fans, that means 11000 cafc fans. It really didn't seem like that. Ground was good, could have a pompey type atmosphere if full, but it seemed really empty in their end. It holds over 27,000 so it's going to look pretty empty when less than half full. I don't think the stadium is all that. It's big and impressive initially but it looks cheaply constructed up close, especially the flimsy seats. I'd take it in a heartbeat, of course, with new blue padded seats.

You implied it. Why not own your beliefs? Actually I did not. I am not going to indulge you as you are obviously looking for an argument and you don’t have one. You know nothing about me or my beliefs and no right to make character judgements. It was almost impossible not to believe you implied it from the way you worded your post. You should re-read what you've written before getting offended.

City 3 points off relegation. Gas 3 points off playoffs. Some squeaky bums in BS3 this weekend.
