He posted it on the "Bristol Rovers Appreciation" group. I believe he owes the club an apology, it was a self centered entitled post and to express views about our young uns like he did was out of order. He did try and apologise afterwards, however any club thinking of taking Lewis on May think twice now (if they see this rant). Why should he apologise ? People died for the right to express their views

Now that this has been aired and people have had a chance to express their views would it not be best if the mods locked this thread? Parents all over the country will be expressing similar feelings about their own teenagers etc. and will be disappointed if they haven’t “made it”. But expressing disappointment is one thing but to criticise other players and making allegations against club staff is completely unacceptable and shouldn’t be given space imo. It was a rant against BRFC nothing less. He could even have left himself open to people coming back at him legally, either way he should not be given space to do this imo.The Development squad have all done brilliantly led by CH and others. They should not be made to feel embarrassed. These things happen every year in football and will do in years to come. Come on mods lock this thread. UTG! On the contrary, its been a good debate, no one has over stepped the mark(for a change...) The dad obviously likes the limelight, why else would he put it out there on social media for all to see. I say carry this good thread on. The dad had a rant against BRFC, no one has responded in kind against him. Totally agree with you m8

I think the father is obviously in a grief like state as many dads live vicariously through their kids ( mums too for the PC brigade) He is entitled to his rant & especially as I have seen his boy play and he does look a natural As others have said, look at super Jason Roberts, let go by the sh** but then flourished Ultimately it is now up to the lad himself to show his true character, keep his but down and let his football do the talking My uncle talks with Ollie some Sundays when he gets his cats food and he told me that Ollie said that Zamora would never make it as a pro let alone the prem. Bobby Zamora let his football talk for him. I do empathise with the father about the Jordanian player though as he has not been able to get gametime at a much lower level. If you look on Torquay’s forum and dig a bit then their fans have accused him of having certain favourites and of falling out with players quickly and then not being one whose easy to forgive. Personally I think Hargreaves has done a sterling job with his team but he did inherit a good few decent players. I do not understand those who tout him as a future manager for us though. Just hasn’t got the experience at this level let alone higher up though Brian, who posts on here & goes to every single match our development team play, says he liked the way he sets up to play attacking football All about opinions eh. I think a fair few are being harsh to his dad though. He’s very obviously very hurt and it sounds like there’s been a lack of communication What we have here is a lack of communication ( classic film)

0 Clarke off for Nichols ? Injured surly? I can understand him being surly being taken off, for that waste of space

You could be right as one of the rumours sites says Doyle ( sp) could be coming our way as part of this. I will see if i can find the site as it was late last night and I didn’t bookmark it He's now got a serious injury (blood clot) that will keep him out for an indeterminate time, so can't really see it. Well as i said it was only a rumour & not one of the main sites. I just randomly clicked on one and it said it was a possibility

Odds on dc won't get a penny to spend the fee will go to lowering the predicted losses this season More unsubstantiated negative bollocks. I'm f**king sick of this place. Hugo the Elder why don’t you do what I do and just browse on occasion and leave it alone on others ? It works for me and by reading some of your posts it seems like you are being dragged down by it. Don’t allow it mucker. You have the control to do as YOU wish me old China. Chin up.

Reports coming from Lancashire saying the fee for Boding was £400k Higher, higher. Really. Wonder if a player is part of the deal? After all, they've now signed two forwards. You could be right as one of the rumours sites says Doyle ( sp) could be coming our way as part of this. I will see if i can find the site as it was late last night and I didn’t bookmark it

If we lost Tom and Ellis I think Darrel would be the next out of the door. Best prepare for that then. It looks likely that both will be made offers but maybe the fee for BB will allow us to bat them off ?

It’s only the FA Cup, we never do well in it...... It’s a Mickey Mouse cup the Checkatrade!!! Remember when we were at Braintree and Dover? We could be Tranmere now without Mansell! ================================ * The Chief defensive organiser played again tonight * Not one winger started let alone one decent one in the squad * Played 4 central midfielders again tonight Thankfully we have the first 3 points to rely on, it’s just the cup. Oh sh**, the club down the road appreciate the cup and will have 27,000 watching it in a few weeks🤔 Starting to show signs of a Trollope demise and 4-2, well done Lockyer 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Interesting that you didn’t post a word after we won on Saturday a win that took us to within 4 points of the play offs but you come on here with your sarcastic clappy childish pictures when we lose tonight. Thankfully there are some well balanced posters in here who can see things for what they are and post when we’ve won too. Always was the same Jekyll & Hyde on the old official forum. Total swings of mood and churlish overreaction in many occasions make it impossible to take seriously

The people owed money are gas to the bone & have tried very hard to resolve this but they just aren't getting their pay. As I hear, they've been paid 3 out of 40 grand. It was a close run thing that they never took action when we bought our latest player. If you look on the other forum the forum user not quite so sure ( KS) knows who they are and so I believe this. He had no form on making stuff up. It's pretty sad when we aren't paying our own bills and when they are avid supporters too. It stinks to high heaven to me and it's awful quiet from the club. How can we not ask questions when the club is allowing us to speculate ? Sorry to sound thick, but what's this loan for that hasn't supposidly been paid back? The fence at the colony

He has committed. He signed a contract until the end of this season. Quite right, no need to panick yet he's still our player and let's hope he's still is on Friday morning! The main worry is if he's goes on the last day we have no time to replace someone who at the moment is irreplaceable! No such thing as irreplaceable and no one player is bigger than the club. We just have to wait & see don't we ? What I don't get is the money being spent of development players yet bills not paid. It just doesn't make sense. Bodin has been superb but it's a mercenary game and surely no one could blame him IF he got a good offer ? Let's just hope we have a back up plan if that becomes the case. It seems we've not been great at having a plan B. I hear landing lights are on though LOL

Unfortunately for Gaffney & Harrison their 'stock value' has probably dropped after last season - their bargaining position is now probably fairly weak with regard to an improved contract offer. Conversely as an example, Billy Bob & DC's stock has probably risen since signing their existing contracts and adjustments to their wages may be re-negotiated through their agents. Personally I think Gaffney & Harrison were fortunate to be offered anything. I guess that depends on whether any other league clubs are really interested in signing them as DC claims. According to the clubs interview on the retained list, there are a lot,of clubs interested in both and it's not in stone they will stay. My feeling is Gaffney is happy but Ellis is not. I think Ellis would be happy to join snake but for much different reasons. Just my opinion

Swiss, isn't it the case that interest must be charged but the real concern is if it is taken or written off? I can’t see why the loan should not be interest free if it is coming, albeit indirectly, from the Al-Qadi family cash resources. But if the interest charge is purely theoretical and the cash is actually remaining in Rovers bank account then there must be another reason for such high break even attendances and tight budgets. Sorrry and pardon me swissgas but what are the breakeven attendance figures please. I've now read through this whole thread twice and habe either scanned or misread or they've not been posted. Thanks in advance

What Henbury has a "friend" in planning at South Glos Council? First I've heard of this..... Who remembers Roadmans bestest friend ever who he hardly ever talked about.....? inb4 roadman gets a text from one of his mates informing him someones digging him out on here and roadman comes on calling everyone a Banned word Tended to kick off big time. I don't know him so don't want to offend but came across as split personality indeed

Since you seem to know, could you pop them in the right order ? Thanks. Steve Brookfield said at the AGM we were about 12th.
Forget what DC has been saying. His comments are usually after an away defeat and he is a bit upset.
Thank you for that. It gives info plus reinforces what I've seen in DC in recent interviews. Let the man have a wee rest

To save people time reading this, gasincider is a prick for telling us what he hears and a prick for not telling us what he hears. And people wonder why no one shares information anymore. Congratulations everyone. Jools used to get info from ex directors and their mates but even they now don't get to get theninside news as it seems. It looks like that the club have definitely got much more professional and don't allow the cliques to get their bits of news. I know it sounds odd but I preferred it when we had a few loose lipped people mentioning no names but the stronger ales made it easier

I understand what you are saying but people are interested in finding out why Rovers have a top 7 attendance figure but a bottom 8 budget.Should my hypothesis be correct we are using the revenue produced from about 2000 fans at every home game just to pay interest on the Dwane Sports loan. If they are planning to convert it to equity at a later stage why not do it now so that instead of paying interest the cash could be put towards the playing budget ? It is simply not true we had a bottom 8 budget by the end of the season, as explained by Steve Brookfield at the recent AGM.
At the beginning of last season we may have been close to a bottom eight budget but from the December transfer window to the end of the season it is believed we had a budget about 12th in the division. It was estimated that Bolton were first followed by Charlton.
Bolton are sticking their coats on a dodgy peg. They were 100's of millions in debt. How are they doing this ?

Surely the fact we've been losing a £1m+ a season suggests our break even must be far greater than our income from attendances etc. If the average ticket price is, say, £15 that's a 66,000 shortfall in fans a season, or nearly 3,000 fans a match. So if the losses are £1m we need nearly 12,500 fans per match. The worry is if DC want's a bigger wage budget where it's going to come from as attendances are probably maxing out at the Mem? Which begs the question, are we really overachieving or just achieving? looking at it another way - the average wage for a Div 1 player is £1300 per week - in the championship it is £7000 per week - there is every incentive for all the players to win promotion (or slither away like a snake) and the Club has to get an income to be able to pay those wages Feck me. I didn't think it was that much of a quantum leap. I wonder what our break even figure is now the Wonga loan is off of our books and offshore in Dwane's books ? Watola said it used be 9000
