Interesting to hear both sincs and Martin withdrew form the team. Seems Taylor has lost the dressing room. so why are they on the bench? That is a good question sir…

Ouch x.com/joey7barton/status/1777390357153546579?s=46They were Dam crap lad.(about Matt Taylor’s Rotherham)So is what he’s done at Bristol so far. Stop gaslighting people. You absolute divvy. He’s taken a progressive, football playing team. Not fought like a lion to keep his major source of goals. You’d have had to kill me to have gotten Aaron Collins out of that building. Then questioned the players bottle in the media? That they’re not good enough? That they can’t do the basics? He just wants people to launch it. Plus, he’s a right boring man. I personally can’t bear him from our skirmish’s at Exeter. That’s on the record already. Where he built a good side. Credit to them. A very direct but good side. They were kriptonite for my Rovers team. They should have won League 2 actually that season. Rob Edwards Forest Green were stumbling. Exeter lost at home. Matt done a great job that season. Can’t remember who finished 3rd? But in our game you get paid for winning. He’s hasn’t done anything but regress the group. No goals. Never a good sign for a football team. (AARON Collins?) There are lots of good people and good players in that group. I know because I built most of it. And those brought in on and off the park, will be good people no doubt. But a team eventually reflects their manager. I don’t want to see Matt Taylor get sacked btw. Even though as stated early, I don’t like him. I hope Bristol win at home tomorrow because it’s a great club. Wael is a diamond. #UTG 💙 Can’t really disagree with him here. He’s only said what many fans said on Saturday at the mem about Taylor. We have gone backwards but let’s see what he can do after the summer.

Now mentioning our 0 goals in 6 games and the current manager losing the fans and players. Yeah cheers Joey, mainly players you brought in to the treatment table on high wages. All this while extending his holiday during his crowdfunding.. DC Inherited a side that hadn’t score in 10 games, got them scoring again and get results. Matty Taylor unable to do So, so far.

So keep paying a player but don’t play him? If he’s good enough that’s cutting your nose off to spite your face and makes no sense at all. More to this, not fit, underlying injuries, personality, better options, whatever if he’s not good enough for their top 6 push then he’s not good enough for our aspirations either. When he was with us some said Championship material, quality etc. Clearly not. I still suspect we found/saw something we didn’t like. Move on, look elsewhere You clearly don't appreciate how DM at Posh works, there's no way JCH isn't being played purely on footballing grounds. A player doesn't go from being a Golden Boot winner to being useless overnight. Well said. I’m amazed you even had to point this out tbh 👍.

Alex Hartridge is leaving Exeter City. He is out of contract. ITK? Will be out of contract. Offered a new deal but turned it down and said he was leaving. The manager confirmed in a press interview that he will be leaving. Hasn't been in the first team much recently but manager brought him back in for the last home game and made him captain and said that it was because it was his last home game for the club. Left footed centre back. Looking at the Exeter forum they seem to think that he is an OK centre back but his distribution is poor. Fans suggesting that he will go to the Gas as he played for Taylor before. Think that he would be a good squad player but not a first choice if we want to be pushing for promotion. Let’s hope Hartridge isn’t a Gas player next season. Is no upgrade to what we have. Connolly should be utilised more next season, him And Taylor play well together so it was nice to see him involved on Saturday.

Agree Chewy, glad Jamie has been given the chance to get this out in the open. Barton lost a lot of respect, and fans, over this incident alone, and no doubt there will be other incidents that come out in the wash. Spent some time with Jamie at an Aldershot away game recently, and believe me, his knowledge is unbelievable, and there’s not much he doesn’t know about the game. A massive loss to our club. Did he!? Didn’t seem like it on the last day of the season against Scunthorpe. Secondly, not an easy read and feel For Jamie, I’m pleased he is back working in a role he enjoys and maybe in the future he may return to Rovers again. No hiding the fact that the recruitment and the side inherited by Ben Garner was one of the worst I’ve seen. Whether that was Ben Garners fault, Tommy Widdringtons or a combination I do not know. Thirdly, Starnes I’m not sure what he did during his time at the Club, their were people at the time at the footballing club milking the money in from Wael without actually delivering on what they were recruited for and didn’t care so long as they were getting their wages each month. I just hope as a club we have learned from our mistakes and not go back into a position like that again.

An improved performance, much more fight, determination but we never look like scoring. No cutting edge, and you can’t win games if you can’t score. Happy with the lads effort, didn’t think much of Bolton tbh. UTG Hopefully Taylor can get us 2 decent strikers in the window because martin and Marquis are an embarrassment, the rest (Wilson aside) were good today. Martin an embarrassment…. Marquis maybe but Martin?

I think MT will look to play 3-5-2 next season but he has inherited a side with very little pace up top and no real wing backs I’ll judge him when he’s had time to sign those players in the right positions, we have a very imbalanced squad and how many games have we been able to field an unchanged side? Injuries have crippled us all season, need to be ruthless and get rid of the crocks Identity young hungry players with something to prove Over to you George and Matt Will be a busy summer!! UTG Glad we’ve got friend, let’s hope he has some contacts and names in the hat.

This strategy is fine but as fans we will need to accept several years of standing still and potentially going backwards before it starts to work. Do we have the patience for that? Normally Rovers fan don't and attendances drop off if there's no signs of a promotion push, hopefully, TG's explained that to the new co-owners. [br I think us Gas fans have waited very patiently since Wael arrived. Let’s hope a back step isn’t another relegation to league two…

I think that is a leap to go from two bad away performances, one where we created lots of chances but couldn't score and the other where we made two massive mistakes. I invite you to read some of the comments from the Mangan era. I also invite you to look back at previous posts where mistakes by players in key areas of the park has been happening all season. I also invite you to look at the Exeter at home matchday thread where posters talked about losing the dressing room. Next game we beat Oxford 3-1. Let's see what happens on Monday, hopefully they'll turn up at the Mem, if not we might as well all give up as well. I'm not sure you can compare yesterday's non show with anything under AM's tenure, we were lucky we were playing PV and not one of the top 10 sides or it would have been another hammering, if MT hasn't loss the changing room then he must a god damn awful manager given he had a virtually full squad to pick from yesterday. You’re right we cannot compare… it’s worse under Taylor.

Absolute dire football. Again. Taken a team most managers praised for its attacking abilities and turned it into a hopeless team that fail to score against teams in the relegation zone. I said it earlier in the year and i say it again Taylor out. I second that!! This bloke hasn’t got a clue.

Is a 25% budget reduction that drastic a move? How much did JB waste on Wilson's, Hunt's & Friend's contracts and big money signings like Connolly & McCormick? Perhaps paying less we'll get in some hungry young players who want to progress rather than journey men looking for one last pay cheque before they retire. What do you do, give Finley another £4K plus a week or spend it on maybe something better? I keep saying, why hasn’t he offered not one single of his out of contract first team players a new deal? I’d save the 4k and go for somebody younger. Conteh is evidence of what we can get for that.

Not holding out too much hope , awful signals coming out where we are with this current lot , well , whats new!
Best here is a draw , and if nerves set in with Vale ( PV that is) , who knows , but MT needs to get this season done with a respectable finish, then I'll be
interested to see what he can do next season....jury's out on that UTG
Matty Taylor needs to get the earliest Uber cab and go.
