By working you mean its still 0-0… Without a single shot after 35 minutes. We don’t look out of place tbf, but going forward we’re awful. Perhaps by working he means we're on track to lose the game and fingers crossed JB is sacked

I will certainly credit JB with the team selection and performance for 78 minutes tonight. Before KO I was not 100% convinced with 3 at the back but with Evans alongside Whelan in midfield and Thomas and Nicho starting I had hopes that we would be attacking and on the front foot....and so it proved to be. I thought the lads played very well before the subs, it was an entertaining watch and I was also very impressed with how physical the whole team were battling and challenging for every ball. The only criticism I would levy was that there was far too much P?!s*ng around with it at the back in the first half and I was pleased to see we stopped this after half time as I was convinced that we were going to gift them a goal. Now to the subs, I had no issue with JB bringing Thomas and Nicho off to save their legs for Saturday but as soon as I saw Coutts was coming on I feared the worst, that we would sit deep and hand the initiative to the opposition and invite them on to us....and so it proved to be! I think Harries was foolish as he was inviting the ref to book him and he knew he was already on a yellow, that said the ref should have given him a warning and just added some extra time on at the end...what a ridiculous booking to make! As for Coutts I wouldn't be disappointed if I never see him in a rovers shirt again! I don't know how many games he has played for us but it's not many and he's now been sent off twice in the first quarter of the season which takes some doing. I've not heard JB's after match presser yet but I sincerely hope he doesn't start spouting any nonsense about the ref as it's not the refs fault...we threw away the win ourselves. I only hope that JB learns from this and doesn't make such negative subs again. Attack is the best form of defense for this squad! UTG! Coutts didn't get sent off? My bad, confused him with Clarke! Notwithstanding this I don't rate Coutts and think so far he's been a disappointing signing.

I’d expect anyone to shut up shop. Was tonight a game we were expected to win? Unfortunately we are just not good enough defensively to shut up shop, we've seen time and time again that when we sit deep and invite pressure we can't hold on!

Imagine if Barton had picked our best players from kick off. Imagine. I thought it was already mentioned on here both Nichs & Thomas were not considered fit enough to play 90 mins atm. So play them from the start and then sub them off when they run out of steam, Thomas started the game on Wednesday night didn't he?

How many times have we seen sides "get away with it at the Mem"? Wycombe managed to get promoted doing it and GC even did it at the Mem. Barton managed to get it right today, just stay in the game for 60+ minutes them steal the result at the death. Going by the radio commentary we had most of the chances in the last quarter of the game. We just now need to take the second half performance into Tuesday's game. Imo we were very lucky to get away with it today, trying to hang on for 60+ minutes is a high risk tactic. Of course sometimes you will get away with it but most of the time you won't. In any event I don't believe it was the intended strategy at all, just a consequence of poor tactics by the manager in the form of not having the best players on the pitch to begin with and then the bizzare sub and change of formation when Saunders was injured

First half was about as bad as it's been all season. We were 4-0 in 30 minutes at Exeter and if it wasn't for some good fortune and last ditch defending this could have been a similar story. Bradford had 15 shots, we had zero. We somehow kept it to 1-0 at half time and actually played much better second half. A bit of a sickner to concede again so soon after Alfie's equaliser but they kept going and after the introduction of Nicholson along with half time substitute Thomas we started to get on top for the first time. On the balance of the 90+ minutes Bradford will wonder how they haven't won but having kept them to 1-0 at half time we deserved to win the second 45 and take a point.
The stats show Bradford had 15 shots in the first half, we had none. Second half, we had 9, they only had 3. Their only attempt on target second half was the goal. We also ended the match with more possession after getting completely outplayed in the first half.
Going forward we have to stop playing Coutts and Whelan in the same side. Lets start how we finished with Evans dropping a little deeper and Nicholson, Collins and Thomas supporting Pitman up front. Try and take the game to the opposition.
Nicholson and Thomas can only start once they are fully fit, we can't risk either to suffer a recurrence and be out injured again for any length of time. Coutts is turning out to be a major disappoint when even OAP Whelan is outperforming him over 90+ minutes. Why can they only start when they are fully fit? If they can play minutes they can play minutes, it should make no difference which minutes they play! Also, correct me if I'm wrong but Thomas started on Tuesday night didn't he?

Spot on! Taking the game to the opposition, that should be the Rovers way. UTG

To be fair we've been playing a lot better the second half, I just don't understand why we can't do that from the start Still getting our most influential players back up to speed. Great point today as we were battered 1st half but were the better side in the the 2nd. Agreed, it is indeed a great result. Personally I'd prefer us to start positively with our best players on the pitch rather than the other way around. We're very lucky Bradford weren't 3 up at half time and if they had been I doubt we'd have been able to come back into the game.

Great result. Rovers much better in the second half unlucky to only get the draw in the end. Keith Brookman and the rad bris commentator can go f### themselves. They are just negative pro opposition commentators and the sooner they are sacked the better. WTF? They are only commenting on the game as it is, we were absolutely crap for most of the game and Bradford were all over us!

Fair play, a draw is a great result, I thought we were going to get completely battered when we got to half time

This game is showing up Barton as a manager. Could have put on Thomas or Nicholson when Saunders went off. Instead brings on pitman and has now doubled down and plays Thomas out of position rather than correcting his mistake. I know it's negligent isn't it?

After a great result last Saturday normal service has been resumed it seems... I'm getting so sick of this feeling...where you're hopes of a turn in fortune are raised only for them to be dashed once again.
What frustrates me is that it's clear we have some decent players, why not start with your best players on the pitch and take the game to the opposition?
The subbing on of Pitman for Saunders and change to 3 at the back is so fu**ing negative and has sucked any little life out of the team!

Keith Brookman said he hopes we make a tactical change at half time, does he mean like going to 4 at the back as we set up and started the game?!!!
Negligence

With Thomas and Nicholson on the bench why oh why has JB brought Pitman on for Saunders and changed to 5 at the back?! I just don't get it, anyone able to explain? maybe he wants to be sacked I can only dream that this is the reason why 🤣
