With Thomas and Nicholson on the bench why oh why has JB brought Pitman on for Saunders and changed to 5 at the back?! I just don't get it, anyone able to explain? Rather that than chuck them in and get them injured if they're not ready for 90 league minutes yet. No reason he couldn't put Thomas or Nicho on and then sub then off again later if they are running out of steam?

Def 352, in the warmup before the game, some were eulogising about the team was set up for 4 at the back, with the players named, yet only 3 were practising as a group. That’s proper baffled me that. I watched the whole Game thinking we were playing a back 4. It was 4 at the back, started as Hoole Taylor Harries Brown until Brown went off injured and was replaced with Anderton. Bristol Post and BBC sport also saying the same

From the BP just now:
"I went to church on Wednesday and I had a good hour alone with my thoughts and I realised I’ve been sent here to help this football club out of the doldrums."
JB clearly thinks he's the Messiah! Well as far as I'm concerned JB, the football club is more in the doldrums now that you've taken control of nearly everything and everyone!

its sh**e oldie, but another manager this season, ain’t the answer. Why? Why persist with the worst manager in our history FFS. Baffling isn't it?!

I believe Wael is a top bloke who has been and continues to be extremely generous to BRFC.
Clearly his hearts in the right place and he wants us to succeed but I am really struggling of late on whether he is a judge of good character and ability.
We seem to be going through staff, managers and players at an alarming rate and I'm not convinced that this much turmoil is good for us, in fact I think it's very much part of the problem. That said I'm not particularly happy that after all the changes he's decided to stick on JB!
I was under the impression that Wael was well connected in football circles (Chelsea etc.), you would have thought he'd have a lot of people he could call upon for advice on how to turn it all around.

The football under GC was sh**e but not as sh**e as it is now and the results under GC were very good whereas they are really really sh**e now.
I'm not a fan of GC but would have him over what we have now in a heartbeat.
I'd definitely welcome DC back, he just seemed to be a natural fit with us.
Seems it's a gone down the pan since DC left, god I miss the feeling of having a connection with the manager, players and the club. It's just not there at the moment and it's really hard to see how it can be turned around.
I live in hope that one day the tide will turn back in our favour.

To say the first half was a good battle is overstretching it imo!
What I saw was we started well, pressing Swindon all over the pitch, scored a lovely goal and then she reasons I cannot get my head around suddenly completely changed tactics.
We sat off Swindon deep in our own half, let them completely control the game and have all the possession and proceeded to run around like headless chickens trying to get the ball off then whist Swindon had the freedom to pass it around us at ease.
I was bored from 17 minutes in and couldn't believe that there were no changes at halftime.
Let's not sugarcoat this, our so-called experienced pros were made to look an absolute embarrassment against a young and inexperienced Swindon side.
For those criticising Grant, he would definitely have improved our team and performance in the midfield had he been available Saturday.
Coutts and Whelan don't deserve to wear the quarters imo.

Trouble is that Football is completely unregulated, from scouts, coaches, agents, managers, chairman. The money is so vast that its a field day for anyone who can buy their way in. Jobs for the boys I am afraid. gasgas supporting gasgasgasgas OP ....and....? Shock horror at least 2 members of gaschat have the word gas in their usernames!😱 Edit: actually that's 3 including you

Perhaps the game will be abandoned halfway through due to hazardous weather conditions and then we will get our own back on Swindon by charging them again for the rematch later in the season

I obviously want us to win today.... But I'm not that bothered if we lose, and it pains me to say that.... I actually am now beginning to think the more we lose under Barton, the better it will be for our club..... After being 3-0 down before half time last week I actually thought to myself I hope we get stuffed 6-0 as it might prove to be the tipping point for Wael to sack Barton so we can have a faint chance of salvaging something from this season!

Just listened to Barton’s post-match interview - the man is clearly delusional. To say that there wasn’t a lot in that game, and also keep banging on about getting into the promotion spots? F**king hell mate - wake up and smell the coffee for gods’ sake! That’s it for me - there is absolutely no way he will even start to turn this around until he takes a long honest look at what he’s doing to our club; and I think he is clearly incapable of that kind of reflection. Best get him gone now before it’s too late to salvage something. My good friend i feel your pain with this man ! I'm taking a longer view on this appointment in that he was given a mandate to completely rebuild our club from the inside out and he has started to do that. i never believed we are going to be a promotion team this year just because all the personnel had been changed. Look how long it took Man City to get into their current position and had unlimited funds to do it !. i fully expected us to struggle this season and that is proving so. I'm prepared to give him more time if i can progress on and off the field and yes we got hammered yesterday but i can start to see the makings of a pattern of play and maybe a way out of our poor league position. At this stage i would take not being relegated as a successful season ! Let's not forget that his mandate was actually to save us from relegation from L1!

Orient fan in peace. Despite Barton having had plenty of time to organise his squad you're woefully short up front and this means that your defence is having to work harder than they should. Rovers get pretty gates for L2 so I would imagine that your budgets very competitive. Us O's fans know from bitter experience that a big budget spent badly can sink you at this level. The O's are well organised and everyone knows what their job is. Rovers under Barton are a shambles. It's difficult to escape the feeling that things are unravelling fast behind the scenes at Rovers. I fear that unless you get rid of Narton then you're in very serious trouble. I hope your season turns around but unless you get shot of Barton I don't think it will. Looking at the goals, the first was due to Anderton losing Smith, the second was a decent shot, the third due to a poor pass out of defence, not sure any of those were down to poor organisation rather than individual defensive errors. Unless JB can miracle up a striker there's not much he can do about Clarke and Nicholson now being out injured. That will also apply to any new incoming manager. Come on now, let's not pretend that yesterday's abysmal display was only down to Clarke and Nicholson being absent. We've been atrocious under JB full stop and it doesn't seem to matter what players he has at his disposal he can't get them to perform as a team. We we're very lucky to get 3 points against Crawley, that result was purely down to Belshaw playing a blinder.

Congrats to all at our fantastic community trust making us gasheads feel proud which is sadly a rare thing these days!
Adam, if you're reading this, I don't suppose you'd be interested in running the actual football club for a while? 🙏
