Where tbone has humour, joey b just has vitriol. Did Linesy shag your missus or something? He's @roadman in disguise - still bitter that his "Corona expose" didn't get Lines banned from professional football for life. Yes, he's bitter and oh so predictable... Bore off Bananas, you can't spoil what was a great night for the Gas and their fans.

Nice story. And it shows how scared the Barnet supporters were of the play-off route to promotion.

We need the * Shut the club down * option, I would vote for that. Just think of the saving in misery every week, the pasties are too expensive, the gates are not open, I saw a twig on the road that was broken by a board member, someone stood in my spot, the crowd are too noisey, the crowd are silent, the players are rubbish, Taylor is rubbish ( deserves a special mention just for Tbone ) the speakers don't work, the paint is chipped, grass is too long, the grass is too short, the rugby will ruin the pitch, the physio is not qualified, the nurse is too rough, the grotto is too grotty, the forums are too nasty, the forums are too soft, the BOD are rubbish, the shops are rubbish, the tickets are late, the shirts are late, the shirts are too white, the shirts are too blue, the shorts are white, the shorts are blue, the socks should have hoops, someone shouted at my kids, someone did not shout at my kids, my kids shouted at someone, the meal deal has gone up etc etc etc..........We really should know when to give up ! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Brilliant! Can you also do the alternative one for when we win a game...

Thanks for that one. This is the code for the "BRFC Gas Guzzlers" league - a very select private league - only 6 people in this one. So I'm still after the elusive code for the Barclays Pirates League! 50 in this one... I have set up a fantasy football league for anybody interested. Please enter your team on www.dreamteamfc.com/ if interested. Pin: 8345232 There's over 100 in the Barclays Pirates League... it would be more if anyone can find the code!

Is it this one 97216-29597 ?? Thanks for the suggestion, but no cigar... Entering this code gets an error: "This is not a valid league code. Please enter another code or check the code with the league administrator." Any more suggestions for the Barclays Pirates League code?

Interesting read as ever Martin. One small correction - the red biplane that was chugging about the skies all afternoon was not from WWI, it's a Tiger Moth (originally built in 1933 and restored from scrap). It does sight-seeing tours up to Stonehenge and surrounding areas. I'd love to have a go. Details here...

It's meaningful, but I wouldn't go as far as to say deep. it failed because Sainsburys wanted to pull out. They did this because the entire landscape of how people shop and the supermarket business model unexpectedly changed. It changed so drastically that all the huge supermarket chains have lost substantial market share and have had to totally remodel their businesses. This was totally unforeseen by them so think I will let NH off on that one! The plan was executed very well and had Trash not caused repeated delays and taken the unfathomable step of seeking a JR and the further delaying tactics then this whole project would have gone through first time, without a hitch before Sainsburys remodelled their business. im also working on the assumption that NH himself didn't write the contracts and he paid legal experts to do this on his behalf. I can't think of a single chairman in the football league that wouldn't pay an expert to do this! So if they assured him the contract was "watertight" then he must work on that basis. From a pr point of view this is a disaster for him, but when you look at this in a measured manner, the plans were visionary and the execution fantastic. Unfortunately due to a number of unforeseen circumstances it has taken a stumble. Maybe we will win the appeal, maybe we won't, but I can't understand why people are so angry at NH for this setback. You can't understand why people are angry at our chairman with a background in construction and who signed a contract so full of holes that our major partner could p**s about as much as they liked and pull out at any time and expose us to full liability to the cost of that? As I said on another thread I thought that the wording of the contract was not the issue, but the process of meeting all the conditions set out in the contract. Sainsbury's should have been chasing the problems with planning permission but instead were doing nothing n order to run the clock down, and by the time BRFC appealed on their behalf it was too late. (Please will someone correct me if I have got this wrong.) Where the legal team seem to be at fault is thinking that once this had happened BRFC could still force Sainsbury's to honour the contract - they should know that the letter of the law holds over issues of "good/bad faith".

You hire a legal team, you expect them to fine check every single detail of a contract, that is what they are for. I thought that the wording of the contract was not the issue, but the process of meeting all the conditions set out in the contract. Sainsbury's should have been chasing the problems with planning permission but instead were doing nothing to run the clock down, and by the time BRFC appealed on their behalf it was too late. Where the legal team seem to be at fault is thinking that once this had happened BRFC could still force Sainsbury's to honour the contract - they should know that the letter of the law holds over issues of "good/bad faith". As Mr Bumble said "... the law is an ass - a idiot".

That's great to hear. Easter is pretty much a new signing for us if he can stay fit, and most L2 midfields won't know what's hit them when they face Stu! Jermaine Easter isn't in either of the squads to play Salisbury or Sutton - why is that? ![](http://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/confused/confused0024.gif)

We can't get any northern teams in the first round its split South / North.. I'd thought people would've known that why would anyone know it if it's not been announced? This isn't the renaming of the Workers' Party of Kampuchea to the Communist Party of Kampuchea. what is the North /South split? you would have thought it was pretty easy, and essential, to announce two equal groups within each section [i.e. the seeded/unseeded sections], so that it is clear who is in which pool. Here it is... League Cup - North/SouthWhoops - that's 2013 - but you get an idea of where the North/South line will be.
