I could see him getting 15 goals or more at this level. Easily. He did score 4 from 13 starts last season in the Championship - how many would our current strikers get?

I think our strikers are heavily underrated. Good at this level. More belief and we have 20+ striker already. But I'd offer the money possible to sign him.

Gaffney works his socks off and has the potential in L1 to get 10/12 goals (maybe more) and Harrison 15/20 if potential is fulfilled. EDIT: Having said that, Lambert is a proven goalscorer at this level and at the right price would be quality. His all round game is still class and never relied on pace. EH could even improve working with Lambo. Win win. Announce Lambert.

Since gaffers signed permantley he's picked up knock here or there. I think if he has a season injury free we get more. Bodin, started last season with troubles and came great in the second half.

I think if you get the opportunity to sign a player of Lamberts quality you have to take it, regardless of who is at the club to some extent. I'm sure both Gaffers Harrison would both improve working with him anyway. Bodin is class. Imagine him in the same team as RL.

With Blackburn now ruling out a move, where do we think Sir Rickie will end up?

I think he'd be happy to come back here provided we can offer what he wants. The problem is likely to be that what he wants is probably MILES away from anything remotely realistic in terms of what we could afford.
He liked Bristol - as did his family - loves the club, the fans love him and League One is a realistic destination.
The more League One sides that rule themselves out the more you wonder whether something could be possible - if incredibly unlikely.
That said, I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up going abroad.

Come on Sir Rickie, you know it makes sense, you don't wanted to be up in Blackburn in a cold January, nor do you want to be clocking all those miles on the motorway. Come on home, a heroes return awaits; come star in our team again, can't you hear us already singing your name? So your are proposing we only play him in home games to avoid "all those miles on the motorway".

Don't worry if he doesn't wanna travel on the team bus I will give him a lift -----only on the Saturday games though coz of workππ

I'm not bothered either way, but if he wants to play football he has to lower his wage demands by a very long way. He must be set for life so hardly needs to be on the crazy money anymore. Why not just ask for a lot less to get games? I find it all a bit tacky.

I agree - surely he'd take a pay cut to come to a club that meant so much to him, and (arguably) got him noticed in the professional game.
