LOCK HER UP. Or at least put her in stocks and let us pelt her with twixes at HT. If only we had a fair judicial system like in the middle east. Ra Ra Gasputin, I agree absolutely. Matthew Hopkins would have known what to do with her.

Do those guidelines include forging documents to cover it up though?? That shows no remorse, she only did when she was fully caught, so didn't have a choice. Yep. Possession of articles to be used in Fraud, contrary to The Fraud Act. The sophistication of the fraud forms another strata of the sentencing guidelines. One is the amount, the other is the sophistication and the other is the length of time and the status of the accused. So you could have a half million pound fraud, with someone who uses false documentation, over a prolonged period of time, or from the outset and the suspect controls others to do their bidding and that would slide the sentence up from the starting point. Alternatively a one off fraud, unsophisticated (ie took a chance) and acting alone would slide the sentence down from the starting point. If I was guessing the sentence from the start, I would have said either 6 months inside or two years suspended. She can count herself slightly fortunate, and without doubt the repayment of the cash saved her from jail time. Glad I'm not a judge, sounds complicated. You been watching Judge Rinder?? Lol

I actually think this is something that needs to be addressed in football as a whole. We have things like Tobacco advertising banned, but can have TV adverts, pitch hoardings and shirt sponsors galore promoting gambling and how easy it is to in-play bet.
it's easy to do, and easy to get sucked in with a quid here and a quid there during a match and suddenly you are down quite a bit
I like a flutter and am pretty sensible about it, but there have been occasions when I could have gotten carried away, or chased something, but have pulled myself back
Ray Wnston telling you to bang on that as Bet 365 stick tempting odds on screen is not a good thing
Disagree. People need to take responsibility for their own actions. If you choose to go down this road then that is YOUR fault. Not everyone does then why are you so different?! Are we going to say stop Mcdonalds advertising how good their burgers are because people are getting fat? Etc Take responsibility. Simple. She is v lucky to get away so leniently. The trouble i have with the gambling ads, the in play ones particularly is they make it all so exciting and easy. As a gambler myself i know how easy it is to just do another bet, or another couple of quid. I used to be good on the old fruiters, lesrning the patterns by playing or watching and it was always so easy to sink a couple of quid in 'knowing' it would pay out soon. Its easy to say self control, but it is a buzz, a fix and depending on your game over in an instant. Blackjack is over in seconds. You can win a few quid in a couple of minutes and suddenly you have lost it and you are chasing the loss in no time I dont know what your gambling resume is, but mine whilst i have generally always stopped myself, i have lost more than i should/could on occasions because, just because. Thankfully i dont have the time, boredom or money to do it to much bar the occasional footie acca

A mistake surely not, deceit and fraud over a period of time from a person in a position of trust with other people's monies, a prison sentence was justified, it was calculated not a one off, a lot of people in prison for more trivial crimes like pirating Dvd's. mistake /mɪˈsteɪk/ noun noun: mistake; plural noun: mistakes "an act or judgement that is misguided or wrong." Are you thick, it's theft from employer not mistake or mistakes, you make spelling mistakes or grammar mistakes, not stealing 176 k it's hardly a mistake, I have no sympathy with people who steal and not too much time for people who defend them.

I agree with the outcome and think because the money was returned in full the lady deserves a second chance in life especially at her age. She`s 35 years younger than Oldie. What`s age got to do with it? I am seriously watered off with you bringing me personally into threads. I don't know if I know you or not, but it is time to sort this out. I have a season ticket, other than that those times, let's meet air this out.

Forget her motives The real issue is Governance How the hell could this happen? Trust I guess, not sure you can ever stop someone if they are determined to run off with the money, particularly if they are prepared to go to the extent of forging letters from the bank when the get caught. She's very lucky she's not locked up tonight, I wonder if there's any evidence she had a gambling debt or whether that was just another cover story?

Thankfully i dont have the time, boredom or money to do it to much bar the occasional footie acca I have always loved a bet. It has never got fully out of control though. Simply because I haven't let it! I have chased in the past and done more than I was planning. Everytime I have done that I have been so angry with myself. There is always a certain amount I would get to though and stop (even though I had plenty more money I could have carried on gambling). I just think it is all too easy to push the blame elsewhere and we are almost making excuses for these people by doing it. I guess it is all down to self control at the end of the day.

Lol I've been investigating fraud (and other stuff) by organised crime groups and others for 'a large government department' for about 25 years. Even an idiot like me picks some stuff up over the years.
