Just had a glance at P'Borough forum, seems they are very unhappy they've let him go, apparently a small section of their fanbase disliked him him and it ultimately led to him wanting out. Talking about the fee, one of them said '800k' would be a fair price whilst another said 1M 👀 Their owner/chairman apparently told one of them to 'behave' when asked if they'd accepted 180k for him which makes you think it must have been 200k+ I can understand their frustration in some ways. Nichols was signed as a replacement for Conor Washington who had scored 15 goals in 31 games that season before leaving for QPR. Nichols came in and scored 1 goal in 7 games and then in the next season only scored 10 league goals so you can understand some wanting improvement in that area. Hopefully he'll make a better start here and score a load. I reckon they paid around £280k and sold him for around about the same. Our club historian suggests £300k. Washington at Newport we should have been watching, bugs me that our scouting set up is not up to scratch, we are not a massive club but need to address this area, it is muted, also will Dubey is he about still, or is that you Pirate?!

Seems once Rovers interest was told to him Tom decided he would like to come here. Perhaps the boo boys helped our case but also the fact he was brought up in Somerset & his parents live there now must have been a factor. Peterborough is miles away & hardly a metropolis. Also I expect we offered his a similar or perhaps better deal & his mates Liam Sercombe & Marcus Stewart are here too. Alll adds up to the perfect match.

When Washington joined Peterborough we were in the process of getting relegated from L2, not sure prizing players away from deals with play-off chasing L1 clubs was something we could do.

It will be interesting to see how Tom get on next season, I guess that he will not be effective as a lone striker but will play off the shoulder of the last defender and alongside another striker who will look to create space for him. I assume the club are still looking to bring in another forward.

The big one is a CB getting Sweeney back for a seasons loan would be massive for us, or someone in a similar mould. If we do get another striker then great, we don't seem to be signing many but the ones we have signed are quality:on paper:

Anybody following Dubey on twitter? His tweets are protected but his cover and profile photos are both from the Cup tie against Chelsea. Maybe he just likes to keep things low-key, like someone in his role should?

I do get it to be honest. As there seems no real evidence of what he is doing either. I could understand it if we were signing young players from Germany etc.

Going into the season with three strikers when DC regularly plays two upfront is asking for trouble. Not sure how I'd feel going into last season with: Harrison Gaffney Taylor Easter James And going into this season with: Harrison Gaffney Nichols We need another.

I don't think going into last season with 5 strikers was planned. LJ was signed as the Snake's replacement but he didn't end up leaving. But I do agree we need one more striker. This will probably be one of the loans, who could end up being our top scorer if we get someone like Tampax, you never know!

Currently trying her luck in America I think, her character was left in another dimension I recall. Totally off topic but her screen husband in Dr Who played the vicar in Broadchurch with David Tennant and the one about to take over from Peter Capaldi, Jodie Whittaker.

Or even getting him when he was at St Ives Town. He had trials at Norwich City at that time and I even remember reading his name on one of the Rovers forums as 'one to watch' from a couple of people.

That's the one, she is doing quite well in America too. Starred in both Guardians Of The Galaxy's films.

Absolute rubbish comment. The Peterborough manager buys in private and sells in public, very public on twitter, the exact opposite to how he demands his buying policy. He appears to buy and sell player for profit not for football reasons. So glad he is not Rovers owner. I agree with most of what you're saying, but in fairness they've made an impressive £20 million profit on sales and played Championship football a lot more recently than we have. Add a bit more to the total..... www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/football/posh/latest-news-peterborough-united-coy-about-britt-cash-windfall-1-8060781

In that picture, her mouth is open and I have this urge to put something in it. Can't work out what but I would damn sure put whatever it is in there.
