The recruitment didnt go to plan oldgas did it? How do you know, it didn`t go to plan? Do you know what Clarke`s intentions were, back in the summer? Perhaps he wanted to spend a third of a million pounds on a player, who looks about as likely to score a goal, as my cat is to win the London Marathon. "I'm looking for a couple of goalkeepers, another left back, a left sided centre back who is a big and dominant, a defensive midfielder, an attacking midfielder and also a left sided player who comes in onto his right foot. "I also want to bring in three centre forwards - one who plays off the shoulder and runs down the line and one who plays in the pocket." www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/darrell-clarke-reveals-exactly-what-56960.amp

The recruitment didnt go to plan oldgas did it? This is the kind of thread you bump at the end of the season, not in November It was about the recruitment discussion more than the thread . Some parts of the op on the thread i created seem naively optimistic now. That said we might well recover and make my bottom half prediction look stupid.

Have a look on Grindr. They should sort you out.

Bola came in at left back. Broadbent was the big left sided centre back (or even Sweeney) Sercombe was the attacking midfielder. Nicholls was one of the three strikers telford another (perhaps)
So a defensive midfielder , a left sided player who comes in on his right foot and one maybe two strikers. That's what was not brought in. That is essentially the areas that most fans can spot the team is weak in.
D.C. knew it...we knew it (know it now)....So one assumes the owners know it too. So the issue has to be rectified.
First appointment though...is the best head scout /director of recruitment the club can get. Plus a budget for people across the country and Europe to scout for him. The better the head scout the more money the club will make on player sales and the better the players available to the team.
