If someone promised you that you would wake up one day with a bigger nob you'd probably wake up each day to have a look and see if your nob was any bigger than before. Then after a while of waking up with the same old deformed minuscule excuse of a nob you were born with you'd start to get used to the idea that it probably isn't going to get sorted out after all. You wouldn't cut your nob off and it wouldn't stop you using it just because it's not bigger than it is, even if it does look like Frankenstein monster (if Frankenstein's monster was made entirely of dead nobs). It will still be good to give city a good nobbing and it will probably be more of a laugh actually as they have spent masses of money on nob enhancements and nob signings and there we will be nobbing away and belly laughing about how the tables have turned. After all the biggest nob of them all is the one that owns that club. Word to the wise - look after your nob.

Yeah but he's only saying what someone else has told him. This whole rumour has exploded from a half story. True, lets hope, someone will tweet wael soon, usually replies so hopefully reassures! i messaged him and he left me on read without a reply.

Funnily enough I read the entirety of A New Beggining yesterday all 90 odd pages.

Look at the reality rather than the rumour. 2 promotions followed by a top finish. Best manager in the clubs history signs a five year deal. Signing players who are young and hungry and spending six figure sums. A youth/reserve/preparatory team like never before that's signed loads of young talent. AND so many get so worried over a half rumour! Facts not fiction. Reality not rumour. Evolution not revolution. Best time to be a Gashead in decades. Roll on the season and something proper to talk about! Sorry, don't know what I was thinking of when I posted this earlier. I've had a word with myself and sorted myself out. Someone must pay for this. The situations a disgrace. We must march on the mem in the morning. Heads must role, don't care who's, DC or wael. Someone must pay for this. We must have answers. Let's get our ragbag rovers back.

Maybe the mem redevelopment isn't such a bad option after all?

The lack of communication from the club has been worrying but things have to be brought to a head now. We have reached Hamer's self declared deadline and NOTHING is coming out of the club. Hopefully this will help them find their voice and communicate!

I've known Chris Brown for the best part of 50 years, and he is not into bullsh*t. He has stated what was told to him and sadly it matches what I have heard over the last week or so. For some time now, Hani has had the contract to complete on the stadium, and I'm talking weeks. For whatever reason, he has just not signed it. Whichever way the truth now is, one thing is for sure. The club will now have to issue a statement clarifying what is going on from their point of view. Why would they have bothered negotiation it, if he didn't want to sign it? Has he said he's changed his mind, or is his team just going through it thoroughly etc, before completing it?? Plus who is paying the fees for the players, new staff etc if he's not putting in any money??

Chris Brown wrote 'Bovver', life as a Tote Ender in the days of Ska and Blue Beat. If he's saying something I'd listen. Guilty Tiger was a decent read of his (with gas references) as well. He defo writes a good book. Hopefully his latest piece is in the fiction genre too!

Maybe the mem redevelopment isn't such a bad option after all? But whose going to finance that if we can't agree a deal with the UWE and we're already £10m in debt?

Maybe the mem redevelopment isn't such a bad option after all? Perhaps with the new gate, pitch and curtains the redevelopment has been concluded: 'we have good news and bad news. Bad news, no UWE. Good news, you're standing in the newly redeveloped mem but just didn't realise it'

To be fair the al-quadis had the finance in place for UWE so they could do the same for the mem redevelopment. Well I might be assuming that the finance was in place. I'm sure someone said it was.

www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2017/august/stadiumstatement/It reads: Dwane Sports is disappointed to announce that its discussions with UWE regarding a potential stadium development for the Club have been brought to a close as the parties were unable to agree acceptable terms. We will now immediately turn our attention to exploring all other opportunities for a new stadium or for a substantive redevelopment of the Memorial Stadium, whilst at the same time continuing to develop the new Colony training ground. We would like to thank the Club's supporters for your continuing patience as we continue to work on this very important project.

I really can not see a redeveloped Mem being the way to go. It's already a nightmare in the area with the congestion etc. Could see lots of public objections etc. Double the size, and even with imaginative travel plans it would grind the area to a halt.

I don't want to call bullshit. I have no intel.
However like others have suggested I would prefer to look at what has actually happened to predict the future:
- DC Contract - Training ground. - New Pitch - Huge investment in a development side - Constant progress on the pitch - Regular praise from other clubs about our conduct in transfers.
The 'author' states that this is just 'as about as bad as it gets' - well that depends on your definition of bad- surely? I immediately thought DC had left. He went on to hint that it relates to investment and the stadium. Well- I'd prefer the Memorial Ground redeveloped: if that's an option I can cope. Regarding investment- I'm not sure there's enough substance to 'panic.'
