We've got a proper player on our hands here. Tackles, heads, picks up the pieces, passes well, box to box, eye for goal, and most impressively of all he has good feet and good footballing brain and touch in tight situations. When we signed him I looked at his videos and thought he was a box to boxer with an eye for goal. After watching WBA, Charlton and tonight, I think I seriously underestimated his ability. And I was thinking this before his goal and I take this after 3 games, not just tonight against weak opposition.
Also was impressed with Nichols attitude tonight. Clearly desperate for a goal but battled well against monster centre halves, kept working and showed real quality.

This is what I said when he joined - "he's impressed me in the past. Good engine/box-to-box, decent pace, creates chances, eye for goal."
Quality player.

I know BB got two goals and awarded mom, but Liam Sercombe was the best player on the pitch tonight. A real quality performance topped by an excellent goal!

Fully agree with the OP - Sercombe is bloody brilliant.
Nichols is a very good footballer too. They're a massive upgrade on the team.

Was mom tonight, voted for by most of the ffsc members but unfortunately Russ gas passed on Billys name to the powers that be. A cock up but nobody lost their life in the making of a great game sponsoned by the ffsc! However Russ was hung, drawn and quartered.

Sercombe looks absolute class. His little bits of movement from throw ins and in open play show immense awareness. Lines shows some nice touches but he is too often looking for the Hollywood cross field pass, but will still have a lot to offer the team. Nichols reminds me of Shane Long with his running style, hard work ethic and natural spring and definitely has excellent technique. I feel we will see him score some silky goals. Still slightly concerned that if Bodin gets injured we will struggle to score goals. Can't rely on him with the rest chipping in a few goals here and there.

I have seen nothing to suggest that Nicholls will score 20+ goals and therefore am certainly not going to suggest at this time that he will be better than Taylor. those whjo suggest this have very short memories.

Just a shame Sinclair is being played on the left bloody wing I like Sinclair there! Can tuck in to help the midfield, adds energy, frightens the full back with his pace and pressing. He's not going to take anyone on from a standing start, but runs in behind instead.
Moving him off the left wing on Saturday sapped all of the energy from our attack.
