I was being Politically correct... but yes thew whole team had a bad night ( maybe the weather played a part ?) You can't blame it on the weather. Oldham had to play in it as well! I used to be a tidy striker, and I loved conditions like last night, as it meant defenders were liable to make more mistakes than usual.Dare I say it, but Bradford away, and last night, we could have done with The Beard? Other things for DC to ponder. I didn't see the game, but apparently Bola was outstanding at Fulham. Should he be given a start? Telford. One appearance, two goals. Should he at least be brought on at some stage, or even start a game? Partington - Has to play more. I understand that he is still building his overall fitness up, but so far he has been very good every game he has played. Of course, we do not see what goes on in training. How do players perform?, do they impress? We do not know about any niggling injuries etc. I just had a vision in my head of you running around with a Fez in place whilst scoring a goal... I need help...

Pretty sure if the ball becomes "accidentally" trapped it's a drop ball, it probably wasn't an accident but we're really clutching at straws hoping to sneak a 3-3 draw on the back of an indirect free kick in the box! More to the point why didn't Lines hit the shot with power into the net rather than a powder puff pass towards goal allowing the block. It was no accident he actually dived on top the ball. Good post on Twitter from @cazjmay

This place ain't half depressing after a loss Yes I agree Mario. I can't wait for the meltdown on here on Saturday night after we get mutilated at Wigan!

Disappointed in SOME of DC's comments after game saying it's 6 wins and 4 losses this season.
No it ain't Darrell it's 3 wins and 4 losses !! the cup wins don't count in the bigger picture - it's just a bit of extra cash in the coffers !

Well that's exactly what DC said after - disappointed Smith didn't save the first 2 goals and too many players looking like they are not up to top 6 L1 standard - they either take that onboard and improve as otherwise they will be left playing bottom L1 /L2 football. At least DC tells it like it is. But why isn't he playing the players who have the composure to be top League 1 players ? Partington and Gaffney.

This place ain't half depressing after a loss It's not the loss that cause the meltdown, but the manner of it. Leadbitter looks shot of confidence. He hasn't has a good season so far. Ollie Clarke - Something is wrong with him. We can all see that. If it is a fitness/niggling injury, then pull him out for a rest to recover. Moore - I thought he had a decent first-half last night, but the reality is that he is not good enough for a team that has ambitions to finish in the top six. He just doesn't bring enough to the party. Harrison - Gaffney brings far more to the team than Harrison. Better hold-up play, better link play, runs better lines, scores more goals. I don't like to criticise individual players, but there are four players I've mentioned. That's over a third of the team !

I am with you on this one, the league is what matters to us all the most. No point counting the Checkatrade trophy wins if your losing your league games.

Partington is nailed on to start at Wigan. Only reason he didn't play tonight was because DC not wanting to play him 3 games in a week. I am starting to question Leads now. It's tough as I have always liked him but I don't see what he offers us really other than pace. Partington can definitely take us to the next level whereas I feel Leadbitter has found his. Byron Moore was brilliant in the first half but that was as good as it got for him. He quickly faded the 2nd half and it is madness we didn't sign another left winger. Nichols is a bit Luke James-esque at the minute, in that he is playing well but not impacting the game enough. I do thik he will come good, he has a good brain and I like the way he moves and can feint. It needs to be said that there were some cracking diagonal balls in the first half from Lockyer and Sweeney. Aboslutely pinpoint. Smith had a shocker in goal. Andre definitely saves that first one as he is very atheltic. The 2nd one, I think he was out of position. He gave up far too much space at his near post and gave himself too much to do to get a hand on it. Ellis worked hard again and he has relly impressed me lately. Both him and Gaffney have been playing well and it is a touh call between the 2 of them who starts each game. I think Saturday will be Ellis. Bodin was very poor tonight but I heard people saying it is because the transfer window is closed as he has been poor since then. I don't agree with that and think it is merely a coincedence. Form is temporary, class is permanent. To summarise - tonight was a bad day at the office and I am not too concerned overall. We weren't great but we weren't really poor either. Oldham's first 2 goals were out of nowhere really and they didn't deserve to be 2 up on the balance of play. I think we will go to Wigan and get a result (1-1). ellis impressive? He missed another 2 sitters tonight,he isn't a top half l1 striker and don't get why he starts Gaffney much better footballer and finisher Especially in our own box where gaffney is a liability hence the winning goal where he made a pigs ear of clearing.instead of hitting it into row zone he tried to dribble it out and lost it

The reason it's scary is because in this Country it's British last every other one first. No need to be a prick about it. The fact a larger number of fans were shouting back that "that song's embarrassing" showed the opinions of the majority. That's a bit rude, you seem to behave like the ones you are talking about.

A few comments from tonight 1- DC makes too many changes. 2- He picked one of the most lightweight teams I can remember seeing. 3- He selects out of form players. 4- Smith was obviously injured, why did he stay on the pitch. 5- Our movement was non-existent up front until Rory came on. 6- I'm not a Byron fan, but thought he played well. 7- Billy was played out of position, but that's not an excuse for not defending. 8- Thought with the exception of Leads, the defence played well. 9- Smith should have saved the first 2 goals. 10- Oldham were nothing special, just not as bad as us. Did you post that he made too many changes during the 2 promotions and the high finish last season? Thats his style, where have you been?? I dont think any keeper would have saved the 1st goal with the fierce wind behind him and no pressure from our midfield,no wonder it flew in. Rubbish he was out of position for both goals. As for changes yes he got away with it before but teams are more streetwise in this division

So any time we're not happy with the way the game is going, we can just flop on the ball, and get a drop ball, from now on, right? Really need a rule change here. Roll away (a la Rugby) or its a direct free kick/penalty.

Has the Indirect Free Kick been quietly done away with? The indication was always the ref holding one arm in the air to signify that is was an Indirect Free Kick. Can't remember the last time I've seen one given!

The ref was that twat Huxtable, as soon as I saw his name in the programme I had my worries. What has Huxtable so wrong? All I ever hear or see is our fans moaning about him. He refereed one of our games last year and was fine. I'll tell you where he was so wrong. He gave a drop ball following their player dropping on the ball and then trapping it under his torso, thus denying our players access to the ball IN THE PENALTY AREA. He blew up and gave a drop ball! Unbelievable! When DC spoke to him at full time the Huxtable prick said it was only a melee. OK then, so I would love his explanation as to why he felt it necessary to book the player who caused the melee. That tends to suggest he had committed an offence - Obstruction anyone?which, to my certain knowledge, should result in an indirect free kick. Therefore the only conclusion that can be reached is that he bottled it, which in my estimation means he's a Cowardly Prick. Defend that.

Bar that one incident which was poor by the way he had a good game.

Him and Leadbiter made a right pigs ear of trying to clear got mixed up and gave their number 9 ample time and space to cross
