Was this a deliberate thread aimed to compare ourselves with Citys support?
Its worth noting they do average more away than us and get double our home attendance. By all means praise our away support and link comments from other supporters but there were plenty of comments of praise without the comparison of the two followings.

No deliberate thread just what I found on their web there were many others showing likes and thumbs up and clearly they don't like the teds any more than we do i Ferlinghetti we have always had a good repport with the wolves fans over the years

Lets be honest not everyone likes bristol rovers, BUT ive never met anyone outside bristol who likes the teds, sadly their scummy element has made them few friends unless you count the tulip lovers of holland.

I live in Cardiff they absolutely detest the sh**. Rovers - I think the term is tolerated.

I thought we averaged a couple more fans than them in several seasons recently?? Not quite. When they walked league One and we were promoted from The Conference their average was just above ours. But they had games at Coventry and MK Dons where they took over 4k fans too, which boosted it. I think last season was similar, they had games at Newcastle, Villa etc which again boosted it. But if you look at the bread and butter games to places of a similar distance then ours stands up on a par if not better.

It's always been bizarre why they have been able to attract more fans through the turnstiles then we do - even pre the Gate rebuild. Our home avg has been extremely respectable given the state of the Mem regardless of having two promotions in the last few seasons.I wonder if they were back in league one and were playing at the old shitpit that we do would they get many,if anymore thru the Gate? If your were to do a head count of both Bristol clubs fanbase numbers we are not that far behind them. But they have always been able to attract more of there fans to games than we had been able to.I know that they are the bigger club, but not by much. It's not like they are Man UTD and we are Bury. It's more like the diffence fanbase wise between Norwich and Ipswich or Wolves and Wba.

Both are gradually getting more & more in them, there will come a time when they too will be sold out, when that happens Rovers will lose a Gashead through the turnstiles.

I believe that it's club policy to leave a certain number of seats free for pay on the day.
