Bet DC is kicking himself for not taking the Leeds job when it was on offer. He must feel royally duped. Why ? Recent interview he said he wanted to stay here long term, do you know something different or just your considered opinion ?

Surprised at all the dismissive comments here. We have a manager, but IF we were looking Pulis would seem a strong candidate if he was interested. -ex Gas -proven experienced manager -Premier League and Championship contacts -continued to work with ex Gas people like Gerry Francis and Lindsay Parsons -willing to bring side for Phil Kites' and Pete Aitkins' Testimonials -stands no bluddy nonsense -his teams don't leak goals (until recently!) -Welsh...could pop across the Bridge -closer to home in Sand Banks -get one over on those south of the river who dismissed him -our owners might like a high profile manager
Not a daft idea to me..................

But don't you want Holloway? Both ideal candidates, apparently, even though their styles of football are diametrically opposite!

The way things have panned out off the field, and the way they are going on it, the likelihood is DC will be shown the door in another month or two if things don't turn around.
If that happened, yes, he'd probably get a decent pay-off, but IMO he will wish he took the move to a big championship team while his stock was at its peak.
This is just my considered opinion. I hope he turns it around because anyone that comes in will be in the same boat.

So what would be the point then?

So what would be the point then? In sacking DC? None, IMO. It wouldn't surprise me if the board did it anyway, though, in an attempt to divert the heat / blame.

Get rid of their best and most popular asset in order to prove to the fans that they were good for the club? That would be nuts. Despite the noise on here and elsewhere, istm DC is still massively popular generally among Gasheads.

Dennis Wise should be available after his stint in the jungle! Amir Khan would be better suited. We're used to getting knocked out!

Simon Grayson would be my ideal replacement for DC. Will he be available in 4 years? Depends if he gives up propping up bars.

Why the hell would Pulis want to go from Premier League to L1 management? We can't afford to buy a groundsman from the PL let alone a bloody manager!
