Hmm - I thought someone might post this.
Not me. I knew midland would post this.
how about Tony pulls as director of football and DC as first team manager as now, TP could use all his contacts in the game for recruiting contracts etc leaving DC to manage the team??

I wish people would get real! We have a manager, even if we didn't Pulis is miles out of our range!

Now he’s been sacked pretty much every club in the bottom half of the Premier league and championship will be thinking about going for him. Fantastic manager , never been relegated , would he be interested in league 1 ? No chance.

Best we could hope for would be if Pulis got the Wales job he may have some interest in the development of the Welsh players (Lockyer and Harrison) at their clubs, which would open a dialogue with DC. I would hope that one day Pulis will become involved with Rovers, he was a very average player but had great effort and must be our most succesfull ex player as a Manager

The chances are if DC did leave we'd promote MS and CH or Manse.

We have to stop eulogising DC!!! With such a dramatic change in results (Northampton wasn't so long ago) something is dramatically wrong. Maybe- and this is my big worry- he's temporarily lost the dressing room. Why not bring Pulis in from now to the January transfer window to advise DC on recruitment and hopefully steady the ship playing-wise. If only.....

We need to rally around DC, he needs our support, providing WAQ gives him money in the transfer window, I am sure he will turn things around. Also, I would not dis Tony Pulis, he is a Gashead, he is someone who would look to help DC if he could / can.

I've been a Gashead since the early 80's and reading Gaschat for a few years as a guest but never felt compelled to post. Temptation got the better of me today as this thread really made me laugh. I'm still pro DC but appreciate others right to opinion but suggesting Pulis is hilarious. Might be viable in computer game but not in the real world!
There will be plenty of good job offers for him, all at a higher level than league one. Didn't he also lose a massive court case with Palace a couple of years ago? The peanuts we can afford to pay won't help him recover his losses in a hurry!

OK, so we ring TP's agent and offer him a 6 months contract to keep us in Div 1, do we offer him £1m for 6 months work or match the £2m p.a. he was apparently getting at WBA and can probably get elsewhere? sportsmaza.com/money/english-premier-league-managers-salary/#getagrip

I am so embarrassed by this thread. It is utterly disrespectful to everything our manager has done for the club.
I cannot believe the lack of loyalty shown by some people just because things aren't going our way.
A new low for me on Saturday - two so called gasheads fighting each other on the East Terrace. One of them was constantly abusing DC from behind the dugout, and the other felt he had to say something. Total disregard for the children and real fans that were around.
We need to stand together and get behind the team and the manager. Throwing abuse at them and each other is in no way helping!
